I'm working on a version that might work for anyone, almost anywhere. Even U. S. citizens would need a different card when traveling in other countries.

Here's an alternative design that's slightly more generic wording, but it's still strictly a USA card. This puts everything on the front of the card, so that the only thing that needs to be on the back will be the name and URL of the organization that issued the card.
This one has more bold print, so that it should be easier to read, but I wonder if all the color accents might be confusing. Or do they help?

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
Ironically,
I'd have all words in Black except the last sentence "please allow IBD....etc" that should be in red.....I want who ever reading this to zone in on what is important to me and that is access to a restroom immediately.
I think if anyone read that last sentence and noticed it was a Medical Disabilty card based from its heading it would be granted a lot sooner than trying to catch all the red leading up to that last sentence.

I got my card and the sample letter today and I think it looks great. I will be so relieved to have it with me when I leave the house. It will be like carrying a new "insurance policy" in my wallet and make me feel more secure.

Hi tex, it would be helpful if folks from the UK and Australia could chime in with feedback on the universal card. I'm not sure but I think restroom is more of an American term. I'm thinking the term toilet is more generally used in Europe but I'm not sure about this. Perhaps if the folks from the UK Europe and Australia can chime in with feedback. Ideally we have one card for the rest of the world as a universal card.

Some toilet trivia — did you know that the term "loo" came from the fact that British tradition dictated that the toilet was typically located in room 100 of buildings?
