What is Sea Cure. Is it the white fish protien? Where do you buy it and why is it beneficial in healing the gut?

Thanks

sea cure

Yes, it is the hydrolyzed white fish in capsules. It heals the gut because it is predisgested in a ready-to use-form. It is more readily assimilable so you are releiving the gut of some of its work. It contains 85% protein in a form that is ready to use by the gut which needs those amino acids. It is also a natural source of omega-3 fatty acids necessary for healing the gut. I first heard about it in a book by Dr. Sherry Rogers, but then my naturopath recommended it as soon as she heard abut the LC.

I get it from I Herb at www.iherb.com

I found that they have great prices and are usually quite quick on shipping. It's not cheap but I feel I would rather invest in a cure than suffer.

Thanks for your quick response Celia.

Sorry but I have another question. What are your intollerances? Did you ever use Dr Fine's tests?

Thanks again

Terps,

I haven't done Dr. Fine's tests. I was only diagnosed with LC in mid Jan., and only learned about Dr. Fine then. I probably will do at least the gluten sensitivity test.

My intolerances are extreme, you may not have this type of problem at all:

-all starches including grains whole grains and legumes.
-all starchy vegetables (potatoes, yams, parsnips, yucca root, etc.)
-sugar, including fruit
-I maybe also be gluten, lactose, soy sensitive, but I don't know for certain since they are included in the broad categories of starch and sugar.

I don't think I am casein sensitive since it didn't turn up when I had allergy testing done. I don't have any bonafide allergies, but the testing did turn up mild reactions to corn, coconumt, pecans, and a few other things.

Not sure if you saw the response I sent to you under my 'I'm new' thread which talked about my diet a bit. Anyway, my situation is radical and most people in the forum don't seem to have such a huge range of intolerances.

About the Sea Cure, yes I take 6 a day...2 before each meal. But I just started a few weeks ago. Another product I really liked esp. for small intestine is Okra Pepsin from Standard Process. It's also very healing for the mucosa. Normally, you have to get it from a health care practitioner but there are some places you cn buy it online. My chiro. gave it to me, but I stopped taking it when I stopped seeing him. At the time, I didn't know that my troubles were intenstinal and didn't know what all my food triggers are, so I kept flaming the inflammation by eating the wrong things. In some ways, I regret that I stopped taking it, but at least now I am on to Sea Cure.
