Cold...Brrrrrr
Well....it's 42 degrees here in West Texas. Wind advisory out...but that's a fact of life here where I live. Wind is Normal. It was raining earlier but quit. I hope it rains some more.....we need it pretty bad. I hope we can plant the quail CRP....but the guy that leases our fields is asking for us, if they want us to plant right now or not die to the dryness. Anyway....c'mon rain! ANyway me and the furr babies are going to cuddle and crochet a new afghan (red, white, and Blue) in maroon, cream, and muted blue. I am taking pics of all my afghans I make and as I get the cd back from walmart I will post them. Love Oma
Well,
This is the time of year I *love* living in CA (I love living here all the time, but winter is the best ). It was 74 degrees here yesterday! We are having an unseasonable warm spell, but after tons of rain in Jan., the break is nice! We were playing out in the backyard yesterday and I ran inside to get the sunscreen I sent my kids to school just in t-shirts!!
Mike is freezing his off in Boston and very jealous - but it is supposed to continue through the weekend....problem is I want to go plant stuff in the yard, but it is too early - we're being teased!
Oma - I hate the wind - it makes my ears ache when I am out in it - can't wait to see the pictures of your afghans - they sound beautiful!! I am the queen of half-finished projects here - not enough free time !!

Mary,
I hope Mike gets out of Dodge before the snow hits Saturday night!
I don't know about Boston, but we're in the teens today and its been quite windy all week. But it is February...we've been spoiled this winter with unseasonably warm weather and very little snow, so now the cold really feels cold.
Oh well, its a good thing on a year when oil prices are so high. Enjoy some sun and warmth for me.

Mary,
Regarding your comment, "I sent my kids to school just in t-shirts!!": I'll bet they had fun, but weren't their little bottoms kinda breezy? LOL.
Please forgive me--I just couldn't resist.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
