What's your favorite Vitamin D cream and magnesium oil?

Looking for transdermal suggestions (preferable that are free of coconut as I'm allergic...so minimal ingredients.) Thank you!

I'm actually using Vitamin D drops under the tongue that seem to be easy on my gastritis. Three drops are 6000 IU. But a cream would be preferable for me if I can find a good one. The less i ingest the better! Which one do you use?

Suzy, thus far i have not seen a commercial Vit D cream - if you really want one then you may need to contact a compounding pharmacy to make one for you.

an alternative is using pure lanolin oil (which is what Vit D supplements are made from) it may smell a bit when you first use it, it is a fantastic moisturizer (great for resolving dry heals) and I use it as a sunscreen here in Aus (I react to commercial sunscreens)

in saying this - lingual Vit D is the best way, as your body is getting optimal Vit d3 in the most efficient means

based on our discussion, i am confident that once you resolve the magnesium deficiency, you wont need much extra Vit D3.

Thanks Gabes.

Do you think it's a good idea to use the topical magnesium before bed? I did about 8 sprays (100 mg) right before bed last night and slept so well! And I'm prone to insomnia so that's saying a lot.

So now I'm having 100 mg of the Dr's Best Chelated magnesium (1 pill) at breakfast, lunch and dinner and 100 mg of topical right before bed. Sound like I'm on the right track? Can you tell me again where you spray it and it you rub lotion into it too?

Thanks a bunch!

most definately use the magnesium before bed! and if i wake through the night, I spray neck area again ...

I buy the magnesium spray in bulk, and have it in small spray bottles around the house

I spray neck, shoulders, stomach, tops of legs Am and Pm (bottle beside my bed)
I spray tops of my legs each time when I go to the toilet (bottle in the toilet)
neck and arms when I am at the computer

from memory this protocol is giving me about 400-600mg elemental magnesium per day ( i am a big user and need high amounts)
(i am not taking any oral at the moment - long story)

the three lots of tablets and spray protocol is most definately the right track....

I am taking 400mg 3 times a day orally of Magnesium Glycinate. Doesn't affect my BMs. Is this too much? I am waiting for my tests to be back from Dr.

hi there Janie

double check the fine print on the side or back of the Magnesium product, your 400mg dosage might only be about 200mg ELEMENTAL magnesium.

Janie
the daily requirement for Magnesium is about 400mg elemental magnesium.
for those with health issues or other aspects that deplete magnesium (such as medications etc) then they may need about 600mg elemental magnesium per day (or more)

each person is different.
for me, with my combo of health issues, i need 600mg to 800mg per day.
