I have just been doing the homemade spray opps. you are so helpful ,, I really appreciate your time and everything you do on here to make our lives so much better everyday.
Tex, I can't ever express my gratitude to how much you have done and continue to do for our daily lives with this disease. We really can get a great quality of life when our attitude is focused on being the best we can be despite obstacles that get in our way, my daily thing is " if I can't walk across the water, I build the bridge to get me there instead. :-)

depends which product you buy.. most magnesium is a tablet (and easy to cut in half with sharp knife if needbe)

pretty sure the product that most use, the dosage is two tablets for 200mg elemental magnesium.
one tablet would be 100mg - if you are really worried about gut reaction, I would cut the tablet in half with a sharp knife and start with 50mg once a day

if that goes ok, then maybe have half a tablet in the am half tablet in the pm (spreading the dose reduces risk of gut reaction)

dont apologise!!! people asking questions means people are being proactive about their health and they want to get better!

As a child my mother says I was constantly constipated no matter what she did to relieve me it always came back, now I wonder if I have had MC for much longer than I thought, having my depression in my teens and total hysterectomy because of tumors in my ovaries might have this all been linked to inflammation as well, because the tumors were 8 times the size of my ovaries , no cancer was found , the doctors were very puzzled, as they were certain the outcome would have been cancer once they did a biopsy. Before the operation I was told to prepare for bad news. This story had a happy ending despite having an MC official diagnosis, I still feel on top of the world and appreciate everyday I get to make my meals and eat not feeling sick, and if I get cross contaminated and feel ill, I know it is not fatal and I can fix this, and control once again how I eat, what I eat and where I eat and what I can't control I deal with the best I can. sorry for the long winded post. take care .
I always had a regular constipation problem also. I'm convinced that it was because I was always magnesium deficient, possibly because of my genetics. So I agree with Gabes that you probably had magnesium deficiency rather than MC to begin with. Constipation is a known side effect of magnesium deficiency and research shows that magnesium deficiency causes an increase in C-reactive protein so therefore it must cause increased inflammation. That means that it can set the stage for the development of AI diseases, cancer, and virtually any other disease, because inflammation is the cause of all disease.

You've definitely got the right idea. We can always find a way to get to where we want to go if we are willing to do what it takes to get there.
