I haven't posted for awhile because due to the good info I found on this site I have been somewhat stable. I am
GF, EF, DF and I only use stevia if I need to sweeten something.
I have a diagnosis of LC but I also have a diagnosis of Barrettes esophagus.
I am taking esomeprazole for my Barrettes but I hear you say it is not good for the LC. What do you suggest I do?
I try to add something to my diet and I either gets the runs or I throw up. Today I managed to do both. Now I have to start all over
again.
I need some good advise. I eat meat, rice, quinoa and gluten free cheerios. Also I can tolerate cooked carrots, broccoli and believe
it or not well cooked cabbage. I just found out that I can not eat ham.
I am looking for any suggestions any one may have.

I am not taking either D3 or magnesium at this time. I tried magnesium on the advise of a chiropractor for leg pain a little over a year ago but I started throwing up from that. Can I start D3 at a high dose without a test or do I need to get a test and then start with a lower dose and build up? My husband takes 5000 IU's daily. His doc said his level's were low probably due to not enough sunlight.

Ruth,
Gluten-free Cheerios contain oats. Most of us here react to oats. You would be better off with Corn Chex or Rice Chex if you want a cereal, provided that you can tolerate corn or rice.
5,000 IU of vitamin D is safe for virtually anyone even if your vitamin D level is already high. I take at least that much every day and I live in sunny Central Texas.
Regarding the Barretts, you should be able to use an H2 blocker instead of a PPI, but you would probably have to take a stronger dose. That should be discussed with your doctor or course.
