Hola mi amigos y amigas!
I'm home! Trying to get settled on this my last day of vacation. Unpacking, laundry, banking, sorting the mail, dropping film off to be processed, and on and on....
The trip was fabulous! I'll do a write up when I have a minute.
I hope you all are well. Someone update me with a brief? What happened with Mags?
I see we have some newbies... and don't be shy, this group can handle anything - poop related, or not.
Love to all,
Peggy

Hi Peg,
I see you've already seen the recent thread on Maggie's condition. Here's some additonal information:

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
Your BACK. Can hardly wait to hear about your travels. My little step daughter is heading off to Manzanillo (sp) in April, she is going with friends. It will just be for a week at a resort that her mother has gone to herself and so approved of the place. As her mom grew up in Mexico, she tends to know a little more about some of the bad sides of certain places. But then again, she grew up in a wealthy family (she has sisters who are doctors and lawyers) and lived in several different places, since they had different villas that they lived at, at different times of the year. And the thing with being a female there, was, you never went anywhere alone, and you were driven where you needed to go. You did not walk anywhere, they had drivers. So one of the tendencies is that she does not acknowledge that this was not the way of most families living there, and that there are more poor families then wealthy ones. Anyhoo, she is going there, and it is just for a week. She speaks spanish too, so that is a big bonus. Her mom taught Spanish, and the only way to talk to her cousins and grandmother is in spanish, so that is good. Her mother and step dad are in Mexico right now actually. They left in early January, and are not due to come home till I thing next week. Wouldn't it be nice to go there for that long? But of course they stay with their families so they do not have the cost of such a long stay. And did you meet my challenge that I left for you on a post before you left??? I do hope you didn't miss it??? Everyone was asking you to have a margarita for them, I just thought that you could spread it out over the two week period and be able to have a drink for each and every member here! You know, so as not to leave anyone out.
Will look forward to hearing how it went.
Gentle hugs
Wendy

Wendy - the trip was great. I DID get your message before leaving but sadly could only do a few marg-all-rightas...they don't go too well with pain killers. I found out the hard way but I didn't hurt myself any further and that's a very good thing. I've been to Manzanillo and it is wonderful!
Liz - my avatar is from last year's trip to Mexico - but Ireally don't look all that different right now. I'm getting the film developed today. Mimimal shopping - mostly gifts for family, co-workers, and cat-sitter...and of course the duty-free tequila and cigarettes.
Polly - Hola mi amiga! Ignore the phone message I left you - I got the info I needed .
Thanks Tex - I did read the info...poor Mags!
I'm off to get some more chores done and have a feeling it'll be an early night. But I WILL post some details soon...I promise.
Love
Peg (getting a reality check after holidaze!)

Celia,
I hope you have a wonderful trip! Sun and warmth in winter is always a good thing in my books! I remember leaving for a trip to Mexico just after I was dx'd with collagenous colitis and I was scared that it would really affect my trip...it did, but only slightly. One good thing was my GI gave me a letter stating I needed to be seated close to the bathroom and at the front of the plane for rapid exit, I copied that letter and use it for free bulkhead seating every time I travel
Talk to you soon,
Hugs,
Peg
