Hi Lou Ann,

If you are doing the menopause thing naturally without hormone supplementation keep at it! Also I had to find that right balance of Magnesium and VitD3 supplementing and found 5000-10000 VitD3 and around 700-800 Magnesium internal/external combination has helped me quite a bit. Albeit it doesn't happen over night but it will work, may take until your body levels out on the magnesium/VitD it needs to get on the healing band wagon for all other ailments first before it kicks in enough to see it working for the menopause symptoms. I am 48 and officially menopause for 2 years now (no cycles since January 2014), so basically I don't say I am IN menopause anymore I have moved THRU to the other side of it now and dealing with the ups and downs that are kinda lingering at the moment. I changed my diet May 2015 and started supplements at the same time....so I've been at it a year now, and I still have a ways to go yet  I think I noticed my hormone changes a couple months after quitting the hormone supplement I was on due to it containing Soy, one of my big triggers.

Cheers
Erica

Thanks Erica!
I refused to do hormone replacement with all the breast cancer talk that goes with it.
I am now 50 and had a partial hysterectomy at age 35 so I have no idea at what point I am at due to not having periods.....all I know is I've had hot flashes for at least 8 years, but they seem to be lessening a little bit....hopefully I'm on the back end of all the torture...as does my husband who says we could hang meat in our house ...poor guy 😉
I just received my mag that Gabes suggested so I started that today and I'm still waiting on the lotion.
I just looked at my D3 bottle and it is only 1000 mg so I really need to up that.

Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner. I am new to this site and lurk a lot!
I am eating about 10 things mostly Turkey. I am not on any of the MC meds and doing it by diet and keeping up with the recommended Vitamins. I have osteoporosis so that was my deciding factor for no meds.
This is a slow process and really picky about what I try.
My BMs are soft with no diarrhea and in the morning.
This site is the place to be.
