Happy belated Birthday Tex , You are such a kind and giving person of all your time and caring to so many people around the world. I hope you felt all those hugs
coming right back at you on your birthday and I sure hope you had a beautiful gluten free, dairy free cake along wtih all the other ingredients made especially for you.
All the best and may you get better and better as time goes on. I can speak for myself that you changed my life and gave me the confidence to
know I can do anything I set my mind to doing , to fight this disease with every ounce of energy and knowledge and tools you have provided in this website
cheers to everyone here, raise a glass ( whatever you are drinking at the moment) to our knight ... we continue the fight with Tex leading us into battle. All for one and one for all...

Thank you so much everyone for all the good wishes.
As they say, "Time flies when you're having fun", and the years continue to roll by. It has been over 16 years since my symptoms became serious enough to force me to see a doctor. And during the first 10 or 15 years since then, not much medical progress appears to have been made.
I believe that more medical progress has been made during the last year or 2 than was made during the 15 preceding years. The progress I'm referring to is in understanding the disease. Before anyone can develop an effective treatment plan, they must understand the disease. Without understanding, progress is virtually impossible.
But with improved understanding, there is hope for progress in other ways. Gastroenterologists are finally beginning to recognize some of the details about the disease that they previously denied, but that we have known to be true all along. So the future looks much brighter for the medical treatment of MC.
Thanks again everyone. It will be interesting to see what the next year will bring.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
I hope you had a very Happy Birthday, Tex, and I wish you the best of health for this coming year!!!
The last few months have been stressful for various reasons and I haven't been on the website in a very long time, but I am so glad I stopped by today. It's been nearly two years since I was diagnosed and I wouldn't be where I am now without all your patient advice and answers!
Thank you from the bottom of my ,
Patricia
