Gluten Free Flour

Post by nsaidcolitis »

I was wondering how safe it is to eat pre-cooked gluten free flour with some water like porridge? If I keep cooking or even throw hot water at it....it seems i can't tolerate carbs which are overcooked.

I don't know the processing of precooked flours but my diet is limited especially where I am not many gluten free products, cant eat carbs or fats or protein, only steamed vegs and eggs and rice chex ( rice flour baked ).

Can i eat the pre-cooked as a snack with some water? Or it's a bad idea?

I would think it would be OK as long as you can tolerate the grains that the flour is made from. It's safe to eat raw grain, for that matter, provided that the fiber or coarseness doesn't bother you.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.

good to know i just found out thats what they feed animals yeah its very fine, just like baby rice cereal powder. You put water and it makes a dough , sprinkle sugar on it, and its a decent snack...for me at least. I just want to avoid empty stomach because i also have gastritis, its pre cooked corn flour made in a gluten free facility so its all good.
