Canadian Meds
Has anybody taken Budesonide from a Canadian drug Co.? If so, what were the results? These meds are a lot cheaper than in the US.
Yes, several members have bought a generic form of budesonide from Canadian pharmacies. Members here have found that the meds work as well as the expensive domestic name brand products. If you order from Canada, you will find that the product you receive is virtually always the same product that other members here order direct from an Indian pharmacy (Budez CR). The only difference is that the Canadian pharmacies mark up the price approximately 40 % and require a prescription, whereas the Indian pharmacy price is much lower and no prescription is required. (Prescriptions written by U. S. doctors are not valid across international borders, so the prescription requirement by the Canadian pharmacies is strictly a "feel good" requirement, with no basis in law.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.

mjgarr,
I forgot to mention that you can also order the name brand product (Entocort) from Canadian pharmacies. That's not possible from the Indian pharmacy — they only sell the generic Budez CR.
Christina,
Isn't that what you received — genuine Entocort EC? Was it priced higher than the generic?

I got my budesinide from a Canadian pharmacy and was very satisfied. It may be possible to have your GI doc prescribe budesinide as a compounded drug. My doctor did this for someone without insurance and without a job. If was pretty affordable.

Pharmacy recommendation
Just wondered what pharmacies people used in Canada. I printed out the info from a pharmacy called "Canadian Pharmacy King". I have never order from a Canadian pharmacy and am unsure of which one to use. Can someone give me a name of one that they used that shipped to the US that worked for them. Thanks.

I use Granville Pharmacy in Vancouver, BC. Their website:
www.onlinecanadianpharmacy.com.
Phone: 888-730-3338
7360 137 St #273
Surrey, BC
Canada V3W 1A3
I've used them for years, recommended them to my GI doc for his mother. He was very sceptical but did some research and his mother now gets her meds from them.

Temple,
Here's a link to their generic budesonide page:
Budez CR - 3 mg
Their current price appears to be $49.66 for 90 capsules. Shipping is currently free for orders over $250, $15 below that amount.
