Just over a week
It's been just over a week since I found this group and all the wonderful information. Although a little overwhelming at first, since I have been struggling for about 3 years trying to get D under control, and I just have to say that I have seen/felt the best ever in a long time. With diet modifications, adding D3, magnesium, apple cider vinegar, Allegra and bone broth to my daily routines, I finally feel like there is hope. I have even tried a few "iffy" meals and I haven't had to mad dash to the bathroom or be chained to the toilet for hours. There is hope!! Thank you for the group, the support and all the amazing helpful information.
Here's to the road to remission!!! Yay!!!

Thank you for the update. And like Gabes, I hope that you continue to improve until you reach the day that you feel so well that you will wonder if you actually have the disease.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
Thanks Tex and Gabes. I was really starting to feel the affects of this disease. I had no idea how severe it really was. I seriously have recieved no information from my GI except a letter stating my biopsy results and to take pepto daily. The brain fog was setting in so heavy, although I didn't notice how bad until this last week. The extreme fatigue, depression, and my hormones have been all over the place. All my feelings, both physical and emotional have finally started making sense after finding this group. There is so much incredibly helpful information here, that I feel like life will just continue to improve now, where before I just felt hopeless. I am young and have 3 kids, so it was just getting so depressing being so sick and tired all the time.
Have a great day!!

Hi,
Great news and welcome!
Brain fog is the worst....it will get better!
You've found some great folks here! If you have not already seen Tex's book the link to it is in the top right corner. It is a good resource. There is also good info on the Microscopic Foundation website and link to that is in the top middle of this page.

Hi, welcome to our group! Glad that you're noticing improvements so quickly! I felt exactly like you - once I was figuring things out I realized that all of the symptoms I was blaming on peri-menopause were actually from the LC. It is great to feel "normal" again. Hang around this group and you'll learn a wealth of information.

Almost a year in a couple of weeks being on my diet and my brain fog and energy level is a lot better then before I started. I have 3 young children too, so I totally relate, no time for sickness or being tired. So hope you can feel better soon!
