Weird question....
I've been using the oil for a while now....I have been noticing after a hot bath my hands and feet get very pruny and my skin is starting to peel off, it doesn't hurt and it doesn't bleed or anything like that and when I put moisturizer on they look fine... Has anyone experienced anything like this?
Thanks in advance!

Hi Lou Ann! If you're referring to magnesium oil, oh yes indeed! I've been using the topical Ancient Aliens for 5+ months, as I'm too afraid to take any magnesium orally. There's always a trade-off, it seems - for me, the topical magnesium definitely dries out the skin after you've been using it awhile, and it can cause redness and itchiness even if you wash it off. IMO, it's still worth it, as you can control the amount you're putting on (still don't know how to accurately determine how much is absorbed), and no D!! I suspect it may take longer with this method to get one's magnesium levels up (mine were critically low in early months of MC, and for who knows how long before that), but I'm doing so much better now. Progress is progress, and sometimes slower is better, at least for me!!
You might try using cooler water, or rinsing off the magnesium oil with cool water first before your bath. I hope you're doing well and seeing some good results!!

Holly,
Yes I was referring to the mag oil.....i myself was having some trouble with oral mag and D So I am going with all topical for now. Some days it dries me out more than others but if I moisturize I'm fine....the peeling skin was just a new thing to have happen and had me a little concerned.....thanks for your response!
Gabes,
Thank you too....i was thinking that since I am having no pain with it and it goes away after lotion....if the body is doing that it's fascinating to me....i am so glad to have found this forum.

Hi, Lou Ann. When I started to use mag gel I was putting it on the bottom of my feet but they became very cracked & dry. I now put it on my thighs at bedtime with no problem.
