Living dangerously. It's been over 4 years since I stopped eating chicken eggs. I had even tried soy free chicken eggs but I still could not eat them. My reaction to chicken eggs had always been nausea. When I got my Enterolab results over 4 years ago I stopped the eggs along with everything else indicated on the tests. Today I bought some duck eggs. The food coop where I shop has lots of local products and today I bought some duck eggs that came from a local farm. These are pasture raised although I don't know for sure that they are not fed any soy. I will check on that but meantime I have eaten my first duck egg, fried in coconut oil. So far so good but its only been an hour. I am very cautious about my food. I eat a limited diet and have no great desire to add things back, except for eggs. I wanted another source of protein, especially since I can't eat chicken or beef. I now go out without worrying where the nearest bathroom is located or feeling the need to carry extra underwear. I plan to keep things this way but still, duck eggs will be a nice addition to my diet. The one egg I ate was quite lovely to behold with the biggest yolk I think I have ever seen in an egg and the nicest orange color. Hoping for the beet.
