I will definitely try the Epsom salt bath. Do you know how much mag that gives you by chance?
Hi Louann, with the Epsom salt soaks it can vary a lot due to how much you actually use and if its a foot soak as compared to a fully body soak. I need to check the bag as I thought I saw a percentage on it somewhere based on amount.

Paula, I love how you are actually using drops...I just add a small dribble straight from the bottle into my 20oz cup w/lid and away I go. Who knows how much that actually is if your 8 drops potentially equal a 1/2 tsp. I can report though that my peeing feels fairly normal these last couple days, maybe more of it due to actually drinking more water (something I hadn't been doing). I am sleeping at night without the use of benedryl, and I may have just been going thru a release of yuck in the cells lately, it seems everyone is or has been sick with a 24 hr stomach bug and I have not contacted it, and if I have it wasn't as debilitating as the rest of my family and friends.

Vaness, your advocacy of this product is testament to how you are feeling and I couldn't be happier for you! I'm just going with the flow, not sure what to or what not to expect, that's just how I've been flowing lately.

Tex, I love your scientific explanations....they help to look out side the box, sorta like clearing the dust to see the road before traveling on it.

I recently ordered the ReMag flavored and I couldn't tolerate the taste. I don't know why I ordered the flavored, I guess I thought it would be a good idea but my stomach said no. Yesterday, I received an email from the company's customer service department wanting to know how I was doing with the ReMag. I explained that I was not able to tolerate it and when I sprayed it on my body I had this burning sensation. I spoke with them today and I was told that the flavored ReMag should not be applied topically. Additionally, the flavored one was removed from the shelf and they are working on the flavor. They offered to replace, at no charge, the flavor for the non flavored. The customer service rep was very knowledgeable and helpful about the product. I will be replacing it, I want to give this another try now that my gut has calmed down.

Anyway, the reason for this posting is to let you all know that their customer service department was excellent. I was both pleased and impressed.

Great info, thanks to all who are posting and sharing their journeys (including their response to the product itself, interactions with the manufacturer), and the questions/answers to others on the forum who've had longer experience with this medication/supplement. I'm so impressed with YOU guys!!

They do have excellent customer service. If you have a health question that one of the reps can't answer, they will actually email it to Dr. Dean herself, which is unheard of these days and totally awesome. Keep us posted Diana! You can put your Re Mag in a big jug of water for the day, maybe less noticeable taste......

Thanks Vanessa, I have read that (I think from you) to start out with a few drops added to the water and add more as my bodily acclimates, the customer service rep also gave me that advice. Additionally, she said that she puts a few drops on the back of her hands but she cautioned me that if I'm a gardener and I have any cuts, the oil will burn. So, avoid the cuts. I am a gardener and I do wear gloves but I still manage to get cuts, just part of the fun of digging in the dirt.

Speaking of dirt. When I was first diagnosed with MC in 2009, I found a nutritionist that ordered (fecal) lab work from a place in Florida. She asked if she could add on a test for H Pilori and of course I agreed. This lab looks for the DNA so it's more precise than my local labs. I think she was looking for any parasites or worms since I had recently returned from Guatemala. To my surprise, the test came back + for H Pilori. After I got over my initial shock, I asked how I could have gotten this and she said that we can can it from dirt. She also said that it can be passed through kissing. I've often wondered about her answer; does anyone know if this is true? I'm just curious.

I followed her instructions of taking the double antibiotics and I'm passing it along because it worked. I began the first antibiotic and midway through the course, I began the second antibiotic so that I was taking both for a few days. When I finished the first one, I continued with the second antibiotic until that was completed. It stretched out the course a little longer but it did the trick. The downside, I was on Prilosec for about 6 months. My follow-up tests showed that I was clear.

So, back to MaG...

Diana,

Depending on the source quoted, somewhere between a third and half of the world's population are carrying an H. pylori infection. But most people never have any clinical symptoms, nor any ulcers, nor any other issues caused by the bacteria.

Therefore I have a hunch that a DNA test (which should be very accurate) for H. pylori would show a positive result for between a third and half of the people living today. But that doesn't mean that they should be treated. Even if they are treated, they will probably soon become re-established again. We also typically have E. coli, Klebsiella, and various other pathogenic bacteria in our intestines, but as long as they do not build up large populations, they typically don't cause any problems.

At least that's how I see it.

Thanks Tex,

That was my feeling, as well. My tests also showed some kind of bacteria in the gut and I began her treatment with her hers, but it was too painful and I stopped. I discussed it with her and decided not to continue treatment and I've been fine, or at least I think I'm fine.

Do you know if there is any difference between ReMag and Nutricology, Magnesium Chloride Liquid
Both are Liquid and have Magnesium Chloride as the active ingredient. Just wondering.

Hey Jonas,

Dr. Dean's ReMag is 60,000 ppm. It is readily absorbed because of the nano sized particles. I could not see the parts per million on the other product. I personally would not use another form of liquid mag because I tried a few duds from my local health food store and found the ReMag was the only product with this size particles. Gabes is on something similar that is helping her. I know they ship all over the world but I'm sure shipping is mighty expensive!

Jonas
you might have to contact the nutricology manufacturer to get the parts per million to make the comparison.

the liquid I am using is a practitioner only supply highly concentrated drops, Yes i am paying a bit more for it, but it is worth it. And it is cheaper than buying the ReMag from overseas and paying the postage costs etc. my practitioner is a Chiropractor/kinesiologist who is very knowledgeable in biomedical science (cell health etc)

Do you have compounding pharmacy nearby? that support functional medicine /nutritionists/naturopaths they will have this type of product.

I just got my re mag....was wondering if the recommended dosage on the bottle is enough mag, or does everyone still do the oil/gel or lotion also? I understand the re mag is very potent, but I haven't seen any info of say how many milligrams your really getting, for example 32 squirts of oil or 1 teaspoon of gel equals x amount of mgs.....any input greatly appreciated!

Lou Ann,

We had a discussion about this a couple of weeks ago or so, and if my memory is correct, ReMag actually contains 150 mg of elemental magnesium per teaspoon but Dr. Dean rates it at 300 mg per teaspoon because it is supposedly 100 % absorbed (magnesium supplements such as magnesium glycinate are typically about 20–50 % absorbed, depending on personal conditions).

Nutrient absorption is a very inexact science, unfortunately, because various forms have different absorption characteristics, and to further complicate matters, we all absorb them at different rates that can vary over time (depending on our personal system characteristics and other health conditions).

I continue to take ReMag daily in my water. The peeing frequently was short-lived, but I have another concern. I have not changed anything in my diet, etc., but started experiencing pencil-thin bm's within a couple of weeks so am wondering if the ReMag could cause inflammation? I now have watery bm's, but still only once a day. I thought it might be something I ate while not at home, so have been strict about eating only foods I make but it continues to be watery. Vanessa, you said you slowly went up on your dosage. Is this because of symptoms you experienced?

Tks anyone...
