Mag oil vs gel
I would like to know if people prefer the mag oil over the gel, or the opposite and why.
Can you say use less gel than you can oil and get the same benefits? Is the gel less drying out on the skin ? Just curious on what anyone thinks about it.
Thanks in advance!

I use all 3 (lotion plus the oil and gel)......
Depends on my needs for the day..............the gel tends to be kind of greasy............I spray the oil on my legs after shower and then put my regular lotion on top and rub it in.................I sometimes use the gel at night to rub my feet if I've done a lot of walking, etc..............

I've been sticking with the LifeFlo product....been hearing it produces more mag bang for the buck. I too had lots of stinging in the beginning when using the spray oil (I spray it in my hand and rub it on my legs/calves forearms only now...seems to take some of that sting away - and I don't apply after shaving mother help me if I forget because that hurts like HELLO!!) I agree with Jari, I will add some lotion after the fact because a bit of drying of the skin natural oils tends to happen and the mag LifeFlo lotion perks the skin back up.

Lou Ann, It appears Joanne may have answered your question in a previous post I have bolded what you are looking for. I have been using Life Flo for this last year and have done quite well with it, I think price wise it is the best bang for the buck.Comparing magnesium dosages will help you determine which might be more cost efficient, Tarleigh. Life Flo lotion has 330 mg magnesium per teaspoon. MagSorb oil has 550 mg per teaspoon ("Every 30 mL of MagSorb contains 3300 mg of actual magnesium."; 3300 mg/30 ml=110 mg/ml; 110 mg/ml x 5 ml/teaspoon=550 mg/teaspoon) but it is listed as an oil not a lotion so usage may be different. Gabes...I couldn't find a MagSorb lotion on the MTS Health website otherwise I would've made that comparison. Anyway, at $29.95 for 250 ml (about 8 1/2 ounces) plus $12.50 flat rate shipping for the MagSorb oil it might be more cost effective to try the Life Flo lotion at 8 ounces for $9.94 plus $7.98 shipping. Even though the MagSorb has 1.7 times the magnesium per teaspoon it costs 2.3 times as much. That is if I have all my math and shipping rates correct...hard to do with my old blonde brain. Laughing
The other consideration is that some people find the oil irritating...it can sting a little and maybe that depends on an individual's skin sensitivity. Plus from what I've read it is best washed off after a half hour or so. I like the lotion...at least the Life Flo lotion...because I can apply it and forget it.

I started with Ancient Minerals spray oil just because that's what was recommended on here............I just recently bought the Life-Flo gel and lotion and am doing fine with both.............the latter is cheaper, as well as it sounds like it has more magnesium in it............
