We rented a car in the middle of our trip and drove to this fabulous area called Playa Caimanero for lunch. Peel and shrimp, hmmmmm.

We rented a car in the middle of our trip and drove to this fabulous area called Playa Caimanero for lunch. Peel and shrimp, hmmmmm.
The trip to Mazatlan was wonderful. We were a little worried on the second morning when we got rain, but it sooned cleared up and we were strolling the beach, which we did every day. On average I'd say we walked a good two hours a day. Mind you some of that was a little drug-induced for me because I'm still not fully healed from the broken vertabrae and wrist. Ah well, if better living through chemicals allowed me to enjoy exercise, so be it.
The food at the resort was wonderful and never-ending. How I managed to gain only two pounds (when I'm sure that's all calf muscle) is beyond me!
When we rented the car and went to the restaurant for shrimp we had to stop and wait for a herd of about 60-70 Brahma bulls to cross the road in front of us. After lunch we drove waaaay up in to the mountains. The view was spectacular!
We met many interesting people from Canada, the US, Italy, Brazil, Romania, and of course Mexico! Our last night we had a wonderful bonfire on the beach with locals and tourists alike.
I hope this has made some of you in the snow feel a little warmer? We're having wind warnings right now and it is darn cold out there...bbbrrrrr!

Those are some beautiful photos. It does make one feel warm and relaxed.
That was some incredible sand art. Someone put a lot of work and skill into that sculpture.
I noticed some old coca-cola bottles stacked next to the bilingual horse shed. They still make cokes by the old original formula in Mexico, and they use the old original bottles. IOW, it's made with cane sugar. Bootlegged into this country, they sell at a substancial premium. I forgot to ask you to bring me one back. LOL.
