Mercury fillings

Post by celia »

Hi,

I'm exploring the possibility of getting my mercury fillings removed. I've read often about how mercury and other metals are implicated in auto-immune disorders. I realize that it won't make for a miraclulous healing necessarily, but I want to reduce my toxic load as much as possible in order to give my body a break and allow it to heal.

I saw a great holistic dentist yesterday, the only one in the area, and I'm leaning in this direction now. My husband has already started the process.

Wish me luck!

Did you have the mercury testing done? The naturopath doc I saw in Phoenix suggested I have the testing done. I didn't know if it was a blood test or what. I hate the dentist.......I have lots of fillings, but if it makes one feel better I guess it would be worth it.

Keep us posted okay?

Hugs

Celia,

Both my husband and I have had all our mercury fillings removed and replaced with non-toxic ones.

The process wasn't bad at all.

Yes, I did have the testing done for all the heavy metals. I did a urine provocation test that was sent to a lab in Chicago called Doctor's Data. Evidently urine is the best test for most heavy metals, although an RBC (red blood cell) analysis is good for determining recent exposure. I also had the hair analysis done, but urine is supposed to be the best.

I have high levels of mercury, cadmium, and lead so I am definitely focused on detoxifying!

Thanks for your encouragement. I don't like the dentist either, but this one is very nice and relaxed.

Be well,
Celia
