Sounds like you have a plan!
in the last 2.25 years that i have been doing high doses of various supplements to remove toxins, every 4-5 months i have a break from the high doses to have a break from detoxing, give my liver a break etc...
all we can do is listen to our bodies and go with the flow. do the mental and emotional work of optimising healing, have blind faith, be proactive but not obsessive about symptoms..
glad you had a good day yesterday, keep resting

Thank you so much for your concern, Janie - I'm really touched! As we "speak", I'm doing the deep sleepy nodding off thing, then jerking awake ... this is quite a phase! Feels like (and I am) sleeping away hours each day. Luckily, I can stay home the next couple of days. Right now, magnesium is the only supplement I'm taking (giving the others that vacation for a few days), and most of it is in the form of ReMag. I can't really go down in the amount of magnesium I'm taking or mess with it as I immediately get the symptoms of deficiency. So it would seem my body is still craving more and more magnesium! I have to space it out day and night or I'll get the WD, yikes!
It's still just a guess as to what's making me have what feels like a "sleeping sickness", however, having had feedback from Dr. Dean, my own ND and some peeps here, it seems most likely that the magnesium is trying to do some detox and get some systems going that have been at ground zero due to mag deficiency for perhaps decades! And while I don't think I've suddenly become allergic to the Xanax, I believe it quite possible that I unknowingly went a bit too fast going down in my dose and am having some withdrawal symptoms too.
Boy, we with mc really get it that our overall health is reflective by the state of our "gut"! As if mc weren't challenging enough, all the related conditions and changes we need to make can quickly overwhelm.
It means so much that there are people here who care about what happens to each of us. MC can be such an isolating condition, and the various symptoms quite scary. Thank you again for caring!

Holly, our journeys are soo soo similar!I believe it quite possible that I unknowingly went a bit too fast going down in my dose and am having some withdrawal symptoms too.
until i fixed the magnesium deficiency i was so super sensitive to any change, change in water supply, change of supplements, change in weather (ie humid storm) change in medications etc etc. I could only handle one change at a time.
its tough... it took me about 4 months of high dose Magnesium to resolve the deficiency and get to the stage that I was not so super sensitive.
at the time I was not working and was able to rest, sleep and allow the process to happen. It was like I had bad flu for about 4 weeks.
at the time I was stressing as I was not able to find employment ( i had been made redundant 4 months prior) then as I went through the 'detox' adjustment period, I realised that not working was a gift, at the time I needed constant rest the most, I could.
listen to your body, take things super slow and steady, baby steps...
and each day remind yourself 'progress not perfection'
hang in there

Wow that hug feels so good, Gabes! Thank you! I realize now that handling stress is not something I've ever done well ... even as a toddler! And stress is everywhere. I still worry about my disabled son; my oven has gone out so I can't cook right now and am trying to get it replaced, and I must get my taxes done ... all these things are hanging over me like the dark cloud stress feels like. Of course it does no good to worry ... so I have to give some kudos to my body for simply putting me to sleep (so that I can't worry)!! Which, by the way, until starting to take in magnesium through ReMag, it has not been able to do before (sleep)!!
Love,

It sound like you have a plan to try out for the sleepiness. Hope it works out.
Just thought to quickly mention something I've done that has given me good energy. That has been a problem of mine, always feeling tired and sleepy. For example it would be difficult for me to read more than 10 minutes without nodding off. Watching TV was often a similar experience.
Of late I've been following a wild salmon diet. I have a few other foods I eat, with salmon being the meat source. On this diet my energy levels have really taken off of late.
My gut has been well for awhile, before I began following the salmon diet. I'm not entirely sure why this is working for me, other than a guess some food(s) was irritating the gut just enough that it would tire me out.
With a little luck in the future I'll be able to add new foods and with that continue to see the gut do well and most importantly still have the good energy. This is fun feeling this way.
Best to luck.

How wonderful that you've found something that works to give you energy, Blueberry, and I appreciate you sharing this with me! I love wild caught salmon, and have it often. Fish (salmon, cod, mahi mahi, tillapia, and whatever other wild caught frozen fish the store has when I order) is my main protein source. That followed by ground turkey wrapped in a red leaf lettuce leaf (only type of lettuce I can eat), and various cuts of lamb (I bake them with bone in, then cook them up to make bone broth, after which the lamb meat is falling off the bone and easy to remove from the broth and freeze individual servings for later).
As Gabes, Vanessa and others have said, our energy is indeed precious with this condition (and the other satellite issues we often face too). Anything any of us can find that increases our energy and ability to enjoy life is a REALLY GOOD THING!! Hopefully, this deep sleeping symptom is temporary for me (it is new; I didn't have it until a week ago) and will pass! I'm sure it IS fun to feel full of good energy again, and I wish you continued success with this, plus being able to add in more foods in the future that will have the same positive effect for you!
Didn't the father of medicine Hippocrates believe that healing is best done with the proper foods, rather than with medicine? I think you're on to something very important!

Does this sound familiar? For months you’ve been focused on a goal or outcome. Every time you sit down to meditate you’re so present with your future that you’re ‘in your future.’ You can smell it, feel it, taste it, touch it, hear it, see it—it’s practically a part of you. It’s a distant-future memory that you’re living into, and in your daily meditations you emotionally invest in how incredible your future will feel. It seems as if it’s in reach, almost tangible, and then—and then comes the day you brush up against it. Your future shows up in your life and instead of embracing it, you recoil.

Perception creates reality
In terms of how we perceive our reality, there’s a direct correlation between how our brains are wired and how we feel emotionally. Since the brain is a reflection of the past, most of us can only perceive reality equal to how our brains are wired. If you’re feeling the same way every day (and if feelings are a record of the past), then that means you’re also viewing your future through the lens of your past. Once you change your state of being, you begin to see and perceive a new reality, and as a result things begin to shift and click with that new perception—a perception that is equal to your new state of being.
This is the place where magic begins to happen because your brain is processing your new future, and the possibility that once existed in the quantum field starts to become a knowing within your entire being. When you know an event is coming because all of the signs are there, you begin to relax and surrender, and that letting go is when things really start to unfold in new and wonderfully surprising ways.
When these signs begin to show up, it’s because you are now energetically, biologically, neurologically, chemically, hormonally, emotionally, and genetically in alignment with your destiny—you’ve not only awakened to them, but you’re drawing them to you.
