Long term use of Nexium is a no no for everybody!! not just MC'ers

like most things, acid reflux is a symptom of nutritional imbalance /excess inflammation etc. reduce inflammation and fix the nutritional imbalance and that resolves acid reflux for most people. (and yes, Vit D3 and magnesium are key in this ...)

for some it can be a sign of low acid, for others it can be a sign of high acid- so resolving that aspect is important
the other main cause for acid reflux is that the lower esophageal sphincter is not functioning properly. reduce inflammation, fix magnesium deficiency, do some breathing exercises you can resolve the function.

the other aspect is some lifestyle changes, making sure that you are looking forward to eating, relaxed and chewing well, allowing the meal to settle properly etc. eating at least 2-3 hours before going to bed, etc.

because Big Pharma give doctors incentives to prescribe this shite and big pharma can not make as much profit from selling Vit D3 and magnesium in comparison- and to be fair, along with that, most patients are not willing to make the diet and lifestyle changes to minimise symptoms

if you read the fine print of nexium - it should not be used for more than 3 months...
there has been some recent proof that long term use causes serious health issues

Lou Ann

My general surgeon has me on Pepcid for two months for bile reflux and it does not cause me any issues.
