Happy Birthday Gloria!
I hope you're enjoying this special day. We miss your posts. These days we have quite a few members who are in a situation similar to yours. Food sensitivities seem to be on the increase.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
Happy Birthday, Gloria!!!! You are such an inspiration to me and to so many others here!! Cheers to you, and I'm hoping that you are doing really well!!

Thank you for the birthday wishes! I read the board a few times a week and still learn things.
I didn't go out for my birthday because restaurants have been off my radar for several years. Nonetheless, we've taken two three-week driving vacations in the last two years, and took our third trip to Hawaii last year. We're flying to our daughter's in a few weeks, and I'll be bringing all of the food I'll be eating, as usual. I even bring my bone broth, frozen in ice cube trays and transported in plastic craft containers which hold each cube.
My life is normal in every way except for my diet, which is still very limited. I have gained a few pounds and presently weigh 91 lbs. My weight dropped to 83 lbs. when I got pneumonia in May, and I have tried to eat more of the foods I can eat to gain weight.
And yes, I'm still taking Entocort, and have been for nine years. I'm slowly reducing it by 1/2 pill every six days. My new GI wants me to reduce to 3 mg. every 3 days. My old GI told me to increase it to 9 mg./day. I basically do what my body tells me to do.
Follow the advice here and you will get better. There is a wide variation in the severity of symptoms and length of time it takes to stabilize, but you will improve.

Happy Birthday Gloria.
Enjoy your time with the family, and Wow! having your bone broth in ice cube trays and taking with you, that is incredible. Good for you.
I love all the tips we get on here, there is no where else I would rather turn than to my Potty people family here for guidance through this maze of my journey with this disease either. Keep smiling and have a great day.

Wow Gloria - how absolutely wonderful to see a post from you!!! I don't post much any longer, but do come on here from time to time to read, and it was such a pleasant surprise to see your name. Glad to hear you're traveling and enjoying your life. Also so glad you've managed to put on a few pounds. Pneumonia is no fun. I also had a rough winter, which started with a tooth extraction gone wrong and ended with a horrible case of Bronchitis. Fortunately, my strength and stamina have returned, so I'm feeling grateful.
HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY TO YOU!!!

Happy Birthday, Gloria! Hope it was a fabulous day for you! I've been reading through old posts and yours always seemed to have a nugget or two! Even your response to your well- wishers....you mentioned you are still on Entocort and have been for 9 years...that helped me see once more that we are all different here and respond differently and that there's not "THE answer" I'm looking for....
