Supplements...a patch

Post by ldubois7 »

This popped up on my FB MTHFR site. I thought it was worth consideration for those of us that have a tough time with oral supplements.

Just a suggestion....For those of you who struggle with taking supplements or have upper GI/absorption issues, Ive been using transdermal patches with my clients as a work-around. They are very effective as a way to get micro nutrients into blood stream and provide the "tools" for enzymes that drive our biochemistry. The patches were initially developed for those who have had bariatric surgery, but so many of us have upper GI issues, so their application has a far reaching benefits that PatchMd founders did not initially anticipate. The CEO has allowed an offer of a 20% discount for first time orders after much harassment. I especially like the B12 energy patch (all B vitamins), the Vit D/K patch and the Iron patch for those with celiac issues. They have other patches as well, and their suite of patches is growing and well researched for transdermal application. I do not benefit financially, so this is just a heads up as I fully support their work. Place patches on your torso below bra and above pants. Their website is http://www.patchmd.com The discount code is for first time orders and is ILUVCYNTHIA as coupon code. (I did not pick that code!!! ) This is cutting edge stuff as so many maladies are due to poor gut health and malabsorption due to crap/chemicals in foods and fall-out from that. Once you place your first order, they will send periodic discounts ranging from 10-15% off.

Linda,

I edited your post to remove the period after the URL, so that the URL would work. It didn't work with the period there.

Thanks for the info,
Tex

cost wise they seem reasonable - international posting rates are even quite good.

in the new year when my cash flow is a bit better I would like to try some.

Thanks Gabes , I may try them too.
I wonder if they would absorb better thru the skin ?
I guess blood work in time would show that if one wanted to do an experiment....

magnesium topically works fantastic for me - compared to any other magnesium type/form etc

and given that i react to soy on my skin - and quite a few of my toxic metals have been via skin contact and breathing - for sure we absorb through the skin.

to date i have struggled to find 'good' Vit C that does not antagonise existing health issues and my digestion - the Vit C patches look a great option for me...

Just an FYI, I ordered a multi-vitamin and the code didn't work! Still worth a try as I have difficulty with oral multivitamins.
Thanks for the info.

CathyMe.......I checked the site and the code was not working, but it is now. 😊

"Code just verified as of 7:51 pm CST by CEO." Code is : ILUVCYNTHIA

I would call and tell them and they should give you the discount.

I use the mutivitamin patch. Not because I have had problems with pills but because I had bariatric surgery in October. I was advised to not get them wet and wear it for at least 10 hours a day.

My doctor is advising all patients that had my type of surgery (duodenal switch) to switch to bariatric vitamins because they are finding we are not absorbing the nutrients well. The patients that have had the sleeve surgery do fine with the patch. If I hear why we do not absorb the vitamins, I will pass it along. They check our vitamin levels 6 months after surgery.

What is the chance that this patch may have Soy as one of its ingredients?

Just curious as that is why I completely had to leave my hormone patches and cream because everything had Soy in it.

Thanks!
