olive oil that has fillers

Post by Gabes-Apg »

it has been discussed here a few times - that some people react to olive oil and it may be that olive oil have 'fillers' like soy oil

this article lists brands etc that have been found to use fillers
and the brands that were found to be pure.

Thanks Gabes,

That's a good reference.

I noticed I get symptoms with two different brands of coconut oil, it doesn't make sense but I figured it goes through heating or something making it undigestible for some of us. . I don't touch olive oil unless it's the green bottle from california, its the only one i could tolerate, filippo felippo w/e its name is, it's really bad imo.

a few months ago member vanessa mentioned something similar - I shared with her a podcast about organic wine production - and they found that from observing the processing of oils like olive oil etc, they found that some production processes 'tainted' the end product due to how the vats/equipment were cleaned /stored etc inbetween batches

this is more likely to happen with cheaper mass produced brands.

I have used California Olive Ranch brand for a year now, with no issues, because I read that it is 100% olive oil, and it's available (and on sale a lot) at my local grocery store.

It is really worth the time and research to find that clean brands.
