All signed up for Dr. Fine's conference. Wayne?

Post by Lucy »

Hi Wayne,

Think the 15th was the deadline for signing up for the conference. Are you and Matthew still planning on being there? Anyone else that you know of?

Looks like it'll be the three of us from my family.. Hotel was very nice in giving us a discount, even though there will be three of us in a handicap accessible room for Mom.

We're just doing the Saturday events, but will probably drop by for the Friday night treats in the hotel that Enterolab has arranged. We'll be the ones with the elderly lady in a light wt. black transporter chair, but I would recognize you from your picture, I think. My sister and I will be taking turns pushing the chair, so don't be surprised if you say "Luce" and get a blank stare back! Ha! OK, so I'll prepare her for that nickname, "Luce" beforehand, just in case.

I hesitated to sign up for anything til the last minute as Mom has been falling lots lately, so now, just have to hold our collective breath that nothing happens between now and then to any of us.

Since we'll not be able to stay for the Sunday Q & A, I hope that we'll still be able to discuss some things with him on a one to one basis. Perhaps he'll be mingling during the Friday night reception thingie.

Good night all!
Yours, Luce

Hi Luce,

I emailed them and told them that I planned to register early, to get the discount, and asked if a transcript would be available, in case something came up to prevent me from attending. I even offered to pay for the transcript, if it was needed, but I never got a response. That's the first time that I haven't received a prompt response from them, so I don't know what to make of it.

I guess I'll just see how it goes, now, as the seminar gets closer.

Hi Oma,

The conference is scheduled for the first weekend in March, in Dallas.

Hi guys,

i would imagine that things are pretty hectic there as the personnel are probably doing double duty doing last minute preparation for the event this weekend. Remember how our newest member was still waiting of his test kit? I think we should expect some delays until that is over, don't you?

Wayne, maybe if you don't get a response to a second e-mail, you could call them, and tell them you need to know. Think there's a phone no. somewhere in one of the e-mails where you can ask any questions you might have concerning the program.

I thought about waiting til closer to the program as it's so iffy with Mom, but if for some reason, one of us has to stay here with Mom, then I suppose the other of us could still attend. I have a friend in Ft. Worth who might take one of em's place if she's going to be in town that weekend, or perhaps she might know someone else who might be interested in attending. I'm fairly certain that the "tickets" would be transferable. Just have to change the name tags is all.

By the way, I thought that some of the other topics on Saturday would be mostly new stuff related to what we are accustomed to discussing on this board. Perhaps we'll even come home with some new websites to check out, say on chemical sensitivities, for instance.

I'm also VERY interested in the topic about how the immune reactions kill one's hormones, particularly since I've already blown a thyroid! Ha! Heck, there ain't all that much of me left!

Hope ya make it to Dallas, Wayne, and Matthew, we'll be sure to let you know all about it. We will miss not getting to meet you, but understand that it's a pretty good drive from where you are.

Yours, Luce

Luce,

There's no point in emailing or calling them now. It's a moot question, since the deadline is past. Since they didn't respond, I'm sure that no transcript will be available.

If I'm able to attend, I'll just register when I get there.

Wayne,
Please don't take my word for it on the deadline as I was just doing that date cause it seemed familiar. I've not actually read that message with the date on it in a long while, so I could be steering you wrong on that.

No, you were correct in your first post. The deadline was the 15th, according to their webpage about the seminar.
