11 pounds down

Post by Liz »

Hi All. Just got back from Docs. She is extremely pleased with me. I have lost now 5 kg. (about 11 pounds I think) in 2 weeks. She wants me to slow it down a little. Even had risotto with my Atlantic Salmon at VIEW club yesterday. Thought I may have blown it. Was not going to eat it all but it was delicious, so, down it went. She said it is OK to indulge a little at times. Not at all hungry & don't feel deprived at all. Am eating things that I like so it is really quite enjoyable. Just reduced portions & cut down fats. You know, I actually used to cut the fat of ham & then eat most of it because I like the taste   Not going to do that any more. It is really quite easy to work around foods that upset me if I really sit down & think about it.

Love

Good for you Liz!!!! I am so proud of you!

Dieting isn't any fun if you don't like the foods you eat. I am doing pretty good too - down about 20 lbs. Waiting on my exercise tapes that Celia recommended.

I bought "fresh" strawberries and some low fat/low sugar yogurt to dip them in. Sounds yummy. You know how hard it is to find yogurt with less than 3 grams of sugar?????? HARD!!!!

Keep up the good work!

WOW, Ms. Mars - you've lost 20 LBS.......................... BINGO!!!!!!!!!!!!

You and Liz both are on a roll - keep up the good work

Love,
Karen

P.S. Try some "plain" yoghurt for one without sugar - you can add your own fresh fruit for a little sweetness. There is also an excellent yoghurt type product called Kefir that comes in a plain version - very good with granola and blueberries.

Thanks girls. Mars you have done so well. I have some 'Walk Aerobic' tapes that I am going to get out & use as soon as possible. The beauty of them is that I can stop if things start to hurt but I hesitate to go walking too far from home in case the I have problems. The old 65 yearold body is not what it used to be what with my silly leg, arthritis, especially in my feet & back and all. Just can't cut the mustard anymore. Especially frustrating when only a year or so ago I was walking at least 3 miles of a morning apart from playing bowls & whatever.

Should be allowed back in the trike next week I hope.

Love

The trike should help strengthen the legs and so forth. Hope you continue with your success!

We'll root each other on!!!!

 I'm really impressed too - both of you.

Keep up the good work!!!

Mars - since you've lost the most weight so for, could you write up a post about the difference in how you are feeling these days (physical & mental)? Also, do you feel your diet is helping your MC symptoms? Looking for inspiration here.
