Fibercon

Post by bttory »

Has anyone tried fibercon (a synthetic fiber). I saw a new GI doctor today, and he suggested taking fibercon to help with gas and bloating. Perhaps it will also firm up my stools. Any thoughts? Thanks for your input.

FYI, he also suggested charcoal for my gas. Anyone have experience with that? Thanks as always!

Fibre is a major trigger for MC'ers.

and in the last 3-4 years the GI fraternity have acknowledged that fibre is not good for those with IBD's.

things like charcoal might be beneficial in your case. I would suggest the dave asprey bulletproof coconut charcoal.

To the extent this is helpful to anyone as a follow up, I tried the activated charcoal supplement with bad results. It gave me diarrhea and was not an effective solution. I will not be continuing use of that product. Hope that helps anyone who may be considering a similar supplement.
