Chewable collagen tablets

Post by SusanneK »

My husband just noticed these at Walgreens.

Isn't collagen the beneficiary stuff we get from bone broth?

Is there any chance these could help in healing? I realize I'd have to check what other ingredients are in there. Just wondering.

Collagen is the connective tissue that holds the cells of the body together.

Collagen is only one of the many benefits of bone broth.

Collagen is what you get from gelatin (such as Jello). Jello is probably much cheaper than those pills (per pound of active ingredient).

agree with Tex
home made bone broth has multiple ingredients that are part of gut healing, minerals, amino acids, gelatin etc - in a easy to absorb natural form
(no sugar, no additives)

if you want collagen only - eat jello.

I also use the green can with no problems. I blend it with ice and 1/2 of a banana for a post workout shake.
