Calling seasoned MC'ers....

Post by ldubois7 »

Hi All!

I'm 4 years into MC, and am still having trouble digesting raw veggies, due to bloating and gas.
Any ideas or suggestions besides to eat them cooked?
If I could eat daily big salads before the MC diagnosis, and I've been diligent with my diet to heal my gut, then what else could be going on?

Also, I'm still eating rather bland....I'm fearful to try new things because I don't want to slip backwards in recovery or cause a set back....any thoughts?

Thank you!
Linda 😊

maybe not the response you want to hear ...
I am similar to you, I am 7 years post MC Dx and still have not been able to have any raw veges, or to be able to expand my eating plan very much at all. for what ever reason my body can not cope with the additional inflammation.
for me, i am very confident that the MC is a symptom of other issues, it is not the root cause of my issues.

this is despite 3 years of focused nutritional balancing, toxin clearing, lifestyle changes to minimise toxin load etc

when I look back at the journey of users like Gloria etc, there are a small amount of members that dont handle additional inflammation.

Hi,
I'm two years into my MC healing now...(wow I can't believe it)...anyway, tiny serves are all I can handle of anything...and TINY is the magic word, I also can not do it two days in a row so maybe a rotation of something small is the ticket.

I'm not missing raw things, but I'm sure if anyone was a salad lover this MC is a hard gig. I tend to handle some serves of things better when I am not having any type of stress related issue to bring on symptoms. There's that balancing act

Don't be afraid to try something if you know you have a few days to let the system relax after the fact, you might surprise yourself

I just got a nutribullet to emulsify my greens and some fruits. It works for me but I drink half the cup instead of a whole one. It digests easier this way.
