I'm back!

Post by rhazelbaker »

Hello all, well after a few good years and a few ups and downs, I am back here again. My LC seems to be in full force and life has not been good these past few weeks. I have an appointment with a GI next week to set up a colonoscopy since been a few years.

I see that many of the people that helped me get on the right track last time are still here so howdy to all!

Rundown of current situation is that I did stray from my diet pretty badly and added life stress seems to have me in a full blown flair! I was hospitalized with pancreatitis last May and spent 4 days in the hospital on an IV but follow up blood work and scans show that is gone.

So plan is to work the stage one healing diet and get to the GI and see what they recommend.

Hello all, and it's nice to have some people to ride along with in this journey!

Hello Randy,

I see that this is your first post, so you probably are not the Randy I remember, but welcome back. I'm sorry to hear that you're having to deal with an MC flare.

The recovery diet that you used last time should work again, but of course the simpler and blander the diet, the faster it usually brings remission. And sometimes we pick up new food sensitivities over the years — so that's another reason why a very simple recovery diet is almost always the best choice.

Good luck with your colonoscopy exam next week. Let us know how it goes.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.

Yes, I can see that (the system lists your signup date under your avatar). But you apparently used a different account for posting back then, because the system only shows 2 posts total for the account you are currently posting under.

Didn't you originally post under the account "randyh"? . . . from the Land of Enchantment, if I recall correctly. If you still have general anxiety disorder, I have figured out the cause for that, and the cure. I had the same symptoms a couple of years ago.

Anyway, let's get you back on track to remission.

Randy,

It's certainly not a big deal. It just seems nice to see familiar faces. I thought I recognized you when I read your first post, but then when I saw that it was the first post on that account, that threw me for a loop.

Anyway, it's good to renew old acquaintances and I hope that you will soon have your MC under control again.
