Well, in defense of the pharmaceutical industry, the government, so-called medical "experts" of all types, and various other well-intentioned (or not) vaccine advocates, I would like to point out that as far as I am aware, aluminum has mostly been implicated only as a possible cause of Alzheimer's and other age-related dementia. So I can see how they would look at the facts and conclude, "heck — why would old folks need to be able to think or remember anything anyway? Forgetfulness is a natural part of growing older." And they probably view the mercury issue as a tempest in a teapot. Shoot, it's not like there's enough mercury in those shots to kill anyone or anything. What's the big deal?

I have high hopes that the new vaccine adviser (if the office/panel becomes a reality), will be able to plow through at least some of the corruption dominating what used to be called science, but these days way too often turns out to be biased BS. Hopefully he and his team will be able to make some sense of it all. It would be nice to be able to trust what the CDC and other "medical experts" in positions of authority claim and promote, wouldn't it.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.

I remember reading a debate between Paul Offit and someone else over the aluminum used in vaccines. Dr. Offit said aluminum is an essential nutrient. it is vital for our health and we can not live without it. The other person responded that the issue was with the type of aluminum used. It was unnatural and was listed by one of the government health agencies, might be the FDA don't remember, as a toxin. A link was provided to the aluminum toxin to avoid. Sadly humorous but that's our health care system.

Personally good luck to Robert Kennedy, and others (I've seen the proposed FDA guy is different than typical) but I doubt our old medical system can be reformed and remade. It's to corrupt in my opinion. It makes to many fabulously wealthy. I view the situation similar to the Catholic Church of old. The church was no longer serving the people many felt. Instead it was enriching members of the clergy. Eventually the corruption became to much. Martin Luther came along and that was the beginning of a new way of practicing Christianity. Today we have latin Europe to the south, and Protestant Europe to the north.

Along these lines, and how different people seem to view the medical system, I was having a conversation with my father in the car the other day. It made me chuckle. Dad is more of a believer in the medical system. Many of dad's friends are doctors or retired doctors. My father is a professional patient anymore too. Medicare pays for most of his visits so he might as well take advantage. I won't say dad loves seeing different doctors but he see many and frequently. As we joked, dad is thinking of buying a new boat but wants to check with his doctor to see if it is the right boat for him.

I'm more critical of the medical field. I have this terrible disease for one that doctors were not able to help with. Also I grew up around doctors. I baby sat for doctors. Friends parents were physicians. When I was healthy enough to work I was talking with doctors all the time. I don't view doctors as all that special or different. I think most people are different from me in that respect.

It seems strange to me about how trusting people can be with doctors and the medical field. No other profession has the same high level of trust. Most people will say if a health issue comes up, no matter big or small, see the doctor. The doctor knows best, has the answers, and is honest. You wouldn't say the same about other professions. I don't imagine anyone saying if a legal issue came up, see you attorney, the lawyer knows best, your attorney will be honest with you.

Anyway, I'm ramble quite a bit, but in my opinion the health care system will not change till average people become more critical of it, ask for questions, has the same trust for doctors as many hold of lawyers. :mallet:

Time for me to go for a walk. I'm feeling great of late! The beef and dairy free diet I'm following seems to be doing me a world of good.
