Fess up!

Well, it appears to me as though they've slipped in a llink to an ad for their website hosting business. (I hadn't noticed it before, so I clicked on it to check it out, and sure enough, that's what it is--they are offering website hosting for $9.95 per month).

If this is offensive, I can remove the imageshack link, but, of course, we won't be able to use their free image hosting service anymore.

Well, we're already "paying", in kind. It could arguably be defined as an ad, since in contains the bare of details of an ad offer. Normally, they would have to pay for listing an ad on someone's site, but I suppose they figure that they are providing a service that is worth at least as much as the listing of that "ad", and I'm inclined to agree with them.

Unless they decide to expand it significantly, I don't have a problem with it, in it's present form, since they do offer a valuable service, that saves us a lot of server space. It's pretty unobtrusive, since it isn't even visable, unless one posts a new topic, clicks on either the "postreply" or the "quickreply" buttons, or turns off the quickreply option, altogether.

Love,

I could care less about the ads. My email program is the same...it's free, but you have to put up with advertisements that you can't block. I don't even see them anymore.

I absolutely love the feature and thinks it's incredible that we can share photos so easily...like my Mexico pics, Christine's nice car, Oma's family, pictures of each other, all that wonderful stuff...

As they say, 'There is no such thing as a free lunch' I think the service is great & ads doesn't bother me in the slightest. As a matter of fact I don't even recall seeing them.

Love
