Vitamins
I'm thinking of trying a multivitamin again. Does anyone have any suggestions?
I'm also interested if anyone has a suggestion for a B-Complex. When my mother was diagnosed with Alzheimer's, they put her on a B-Complex and since I have family history on both sides, I was thinking of taking. Silly me! I bought a bottle, but B-12 is Cyanocobalamin....and I know better!
I take Sigform liquid Vitamin B-12 (1,000mcg) with B-6 (5000mcg) and Folic Acid (400mcg)....but it doesn't have the other B vitamins.
I can't decide if I should take a good multivitamin or B's. I sure don't want to take a chance of making my MC worse!
I appreciate any suggestions.
Thanks,
Terricia

Terricia,
I take regular Centrum Silver (not the specialized versions for men, or women, or . . .). I'm not sure that everyone here could tolerate it though because it contains a lot of ingredients (vitamins and minerals). I have methylation problems so I take the active forms of the most important B vitamins. I'm currently using Methyl Guard Plus, by Thorne Research.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
I was taking Centrum Silver (for women) before stopping it in trying to get MC under control. Not that I have my MC under control, but it is at this point something I don't think about every minute of the day...at one point I felt like I had no life.
Thanks for the product info on the Methyl Guard Plus.

Vit D3, magnesium, Active B6,B9, B12 are the main priorities.
an interesting thing to do is to put your eating plan into a nutrient tracker and see if there are any major gaps.
quite a few people are surprised that the bland low amount of ingredients eating plan does provide a reasonable cross section of nutrients.
The Thorne methyl guard is great product.

Gabes, thanks so much for your input. I'm covering the main priorities (not sure if I am taking correct amounts), it's just that my hair is in terrible condition (worse than I can ever remember) and I was thinking that maybe a multi would help.
BTW, you're the bomb too! Just have no idea where I would be without this site. THANK YOU ALL!

I have found Jarrows B-Right (I get mine at Vitacost.com) has been good to me and it is mostly B's and the kinds we need unless you have a Methylation issue then singling out the three main ones described by Gabes would be a better idea.
When I feel a flare approaching I pare back down to the three basics...but that is just me.
I'm rather concerned about Spring and histamine again....so will see how March-May goes again this year

Gabes, I think my B6 is 50mg, and I'm taking 10,000 VitD3....would it still be ok to increase those and I know Mag needs to be upped a bit more
Thanks

Ok I could alternate days and get up to the 75 that way I suspect. Maybe by upping the Mag that will be just enough to help me along this year.for my combo of health issues I take 75mg of P5P per day
if allergy symptoms happen, I use highly absorbable P5P drops (that I get from my chiro) to increase my intake a bit more.
Thanks Terre! going to do my best
