help with fruit???
Christiane McClellan
Hello Christi,
During recovery, most of us can eat bananas. Small to medium amounts of canned or well-cooked peaches or pears are usually OK. Just don't overdo it because both the sugars (fructose and sorbitol) and the fiber in fruit can lead to problems if we get too much of them. Many of us can tolerate other fruits (if well cooked), as long as we don't overdo the amount.
After we have been in remission for a while, many/most of us are better able to tolerate fruit, and most of us are able to tolerate raw fruit again.
You're very welcome,
Tex

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
