I edited your post. If you go back and click on the "edit" button you can see how I changed it so that browsers will interpret it correctly.

When your digestive system has a bad day the gastroparesis is probably worse, creating more gas pressure that promotes reflux.

Research shows that large doses of vitamin D can help to suppress reflux.

re the Gerd
my suggestion in the interim why you reduce inflammation and fix nutritional issues like the Mag and Vit D3, use a H2 blocker rantadine will help - not addictive like PPI's.

and given your fungus issues - i think things like the alcohol sugars and citric acid were feeding it. Any wonder you couldnt get it settled.

You left off the second "[/quote]" (without the quotation marks). I have to include the quotation marks here or the bulletin board code interpreter in your browser will think it's a command and mess up my post. Anyway, I added it to your post.

8,000–10,000 IU of vitamin D works well. If I recall correctly your vitamin D level is only 25 ng/dL, so 10,000 IU should be a safe dose for at least several months (if you should need to take it that long).

I was taken off Budesonide on Momday morning. I had a bad reaction last week due to the med and my left leg and ankle swelled up. They are still a bit swollen. After 48-hours being off the med my diarrhea returned. Only happened twice today. I realize that I haven't been taken the proper amount of B-3. I have been gluten free for the past month. Do not want to go back on the Budesonide again.

Ann
have you stopped other key common trigger items like Dairy, Soy, Eggs??
are you following the suggested eating plan in our guidelines to recover area? (low fibre, well cooked bland, high protein meals, small amount of ingredients)

have you been taking Vit D3, Magnesium etc to help lower inflammation levels?

it can take up to 6 months for the gluten antibodies to leave your body.

Sorry Ann, you are going through all that, it can be hard to find the right balance and we all are so different. I can only offer emotional support as I have no idea how to get out of this mess for myself. I hope you can avoid a long term flare.

I hope your swelling goes away soon !
Thankfully we have some really kind, knowledgeable, people who give us one on one support.
Hugs, Rebecca

Thanks everyone for you support! I cut back on dairy drinking lactose milk and an occasional yogurt. I stopped eating eggs and cheese also. I take a bath in Epsom salts, but If I take a shower I soak my feet in a foot massager with the salts. What is the best vitamin supplement for B-3 and D-12? Where can I get them?

Ann
if you are having multiple trigger items - like soy, too much fibre, or fruit sugar, or too much caffine or other trigger items then the small amount of dairy you are having would be increasing inflammation levels. Lactose free milk and yoghurt still have casein which is inflammatory.

Do you mean Vit D3 and Vit B12?
