Tex!! I have no doubt you will beat this problem. It's something you are extremely good at and we are all grateful for that fact. You mean so much to all of us.

Tex,
I just heard about this. "So sorry this happened to you, but glad you are improving! I don't know if I ever told you, I am an OT with expertise in stroke. Please feel free to contact me with any questions, any time.

HI Tex,
Praying for a swift and complete recovery for you. One thing is clear-- you are as tough as they come and strong willed too, I'll bet. :) Please know that we are here for you the way you have been a solid fixture in all of our lives.
Love, Carol M.

Thanks Joan, Shirley, and Erica. I don't know if more magnesium would have helped, but I don't believe too much was a problem either. Thanks Lesley, I'll keep your training in mind. I guess we'll see what comes back over the next month or two. Right now I don't Know enough about what to ask.
And Carol you're right about me being "strong-willed" (a nice way to say "hard-headed"). I've got to be a lot worse before I use a walker. Those people at the hospital act as though it's a disgrace to fall down now and then. Heck, that's what gravity is for. It prevents us from falling into space. Besides, I'm only about 5'6" so it's not that far to the floor or the ground. LOL.
Love,
Tex

I couldn't have said it better, Starfire.
Tex, just want you to know I'm pulling for you too and sincerely wish you the fullest recovery and strength. You do mean so much to all of us.

I appreciate everyone's good wishes and support. Progress seems frustratingly slow, but I'm improving a little every day.

Tex,
I did read about your stroke several days ago. I wish you only the best! You are remarkable man and I am forever grateful for your dedication to this forum in helping so many. You'll never know how many people you have helped with your knowledge and insight. I wish I could click my heels like Dorothy and land in Texas to give you a handshake and a huge hug. Do take care of yourself.
I've just read about your stroke. It is a shock for me and I'm so glad to see that you are recovering. You surely have an angel on your shoulder that prevented you for worse!
I send you my very best wishes and love and hope that you are soon the old Tex again!
Please take it easy, we can do without you for a short time (thanks to some other members, especially Gabes
) but its nice to stay updated about your wellbeing, if it's possible.
