New Chocolate Bar

Post by jlbattin »

I found a new chocolate bar that I can eat with no issues.

https://www.theochocolate.com/product/6

But this one is my absolute favorite:

https://www.theochocolate.com/product/140

It tastes just like a Mounds bar.

I'm not fond of dark chocolate so to find one with coconut in it was a real plus for me! It just helps with the flavori (in my opinion).

I have eaten Theo dark chocolate bars for years with no problem. I can find some selections in some grocery stores, but didn't realize that they now make a "Mounds Bars" equivalent......... It used to be my favorite candy before MC. Thanks for posting, Jeri, you made my day!!!! Now I know what to suggest for an awesome Mother's Day present........ a case of Coconut Bites!

I took a tour of their factory when I was in Seattle a few years ago. My daughter, who lives there, thought that given my addiction, I would enjoy it. It was very interesting, as they are really into sourcing their chocolate beans from small organic farms and supporting small scale "Fair Trade agriculture. I learned that most chocolate manufacturers don't start with the bean, but with a mass-produced liquid chocolate.

The story of Theo Chocolate is pretty interesting, if you want to read about how it got started.

Holy cow, the shipping on those things got really expensive real fast!

Will have to wait until I can find them locally I guess...

They look like a great treat! Just a bit more than I want to spend....

Thanks for alerting us to them.....I can't wait to try one some time!

I found then locally at my King Sooper's, and they also have them at Natural Grocers. I think they also have them at Whole Foods and other places.

I found them at Amazon for less than what I paid at the store and no shipping. https://www.amazon.com/Organic-Coconut- ... ic+coconut

They are $2.49 in the store! The above comes out at less than that.

The nice thing about this one is that it is soy free. Most candy that has a chocolate coating has soy in it. This one doesn't!

Yes, I see when I look at the ingredients that they are dairy free. It was just when you first click on the link they say in big letters that they are Gluten Free, Soy Free, Kosher and Vegan. I thought that they would also want to say Dairy Free at that spot also.
Just says made in the same facility as wheat, dairy and etc. in the ingredient section.

Glad you found something that works for you and you enjoy!
Wish I could too!
