No apparent problems that I can see. I've logged on about a half-dozen times since late yesterday but this is the first time I've seen anyone posting. It's been a quiet weekend.

That's cool
I had next to no internet all weekend at home

Another user contacted me via FB that they had issues so I thought best way to see if there is an issue is to do a post

Hi, Gabes. I was away all weekend and I too thought it was odd that there weren't any new posts.

Posting gets real slow on weekends every spring about this time. I guess all the posters are out enjoying the warm spring weather.

I noticed it getting quieter and quieter around here......how wonderful is that! The hope and dream is that there are so many people who have been helped that we are all out living our lives. Yay!

Of course Tex has been around way longer than me and it's just spring...

It was a busy weekend for me, I am in our community Celtic choral group and we sang on saturday at a retirement residence for shut ins Seniors who are quite lonely at times, one lady resident tapping her feet to the music and after each song we sang, she yelled out whohoo... you made my day.. thank-you, thank-you. for coming.
It brightened all our hearts and I realize how lucky we are to be alive and able to bring a smile to someone's face. I love to sing in my choir and reach out to people through music and song, she sure made my day.. there were refreshments offered afterwards as well as some snacks but I didn't eat any , I went home with a smile and those treats didn't matter to me, my treat had been hearing and seeing her enjoying herself like that. She brightened up the whole room, all the residents were tapping their toes and clapped for us when we were done.
I sometimes am unsure what to post, but thought I would share that little bit of my weekend. I am still smiling thinking about her Ha!
take care everyone :pigtail:

Hi!

Yep, been planting some flowers so they will be mature for when my daughter gets married in our front yard  and reception in the backyard  in September.....

Plus went and saw a play on campus where I work at Whitman College it was called "You can't take it with you", what a hoot

Thank you, twirlit! I work in long term care and I can tell you how much the residents enjoy programs such as yours. It brings tears to my eyes sometimes when I watch residents with dementia singing along at programs. At one program I watched a resident who never speaks react to a song for couples. I could tell that she was reliving a time when she was with her loved one. I can't imagine working anywhere else because we learn so much about life from our residents.

I am glad that I did this post and have heard what my PP family have been doing!

at first once Tex replied I was going to delete it, but the conversation is way too inspiring and positive so it is staying!
