12 Years Old

Post by tex »

At 10 am CDT, this discussion forum will be 12 years old. It originally was opened to the public in 2005. That's quite old in discussion forum years. Most discussion forums don't last more than about 4 years.

That's awesome Tex!

I hope this forum continues to help and inspire more people in the future too! As sad as it may be that more people will continue to develop LC, CC, MC in their lives, at least the information here has been on target and the discussions and theories and information being put to use to prove many different things has been in itself a medical journal to say the least.

Yes each individual has to chart their own course, but the end result will be some type of healing help that our medical society has not been able to provide us with.

Congratulations on 12 years!
Thank you for being here :pulsinghearts:

Doesn't surprise me! When it's founded by some of the most caring people on earth, I suppose it would last awhile.

Tex, I bet you have almost seen it all through the years!

I am forever grateful to the group of wonderful people who have made up this forum and those who continue to devote time to it. I'm almost 5 months new to LC and it it weren't for this forum I can only imagine what dreadful shape I would be in. Lucky are so many of us are to have this safe, caring, encouraging and educational place to go.

Tex is probably right. I was on another forum for a different AI disorder and it has just folded. While good, it was never the quality of this one.

Thank you, thank you!

I will be eternally grateful for this forum and my "family" that I have on here. I don't even want to think about where I might be if it wasn't for this forum and the wonderful people on here. No mention of "DIET" has ever been uttered to me until I read and asked questions on here.

Thanks for all you do!

Happy 12 years!
:goteam:
this group/forum/family is proof that it takes a village!

Here is a big cheers to;
- to the originals for starting this group

- to everyone that has contributed over the past 12 years, your posts, thoughts, experiences, support etc have provided the backbone of this group - what works and what doesn't..
a fantastic collection of knowledge, ideas, support, lowlites and highlites of the wellness journey's of all that have contributed.

- to those who do the work behind the scenes - most of this is Tex, but there are others that provide support to this group and the Microscopic colitis foundation etc

- to the wonderful friends that I have met via this group, that have enhanced, enriched and enlightened my life so much.

I will echo the sentiments of the others- this site was truly my lifeline when I was first sick, scared, and lost. Five years later I have my life back, at least 90%, and I owe that to the guidance and support I received here. Plus I've made some good friends.
So thanks to Tex, Polly, Gabes and all for your dedication to this mission and to each other.

Warmest regards-
Carol

Congratulations!!! This board is literally the best information out there on MC. I am still new to this diagnosis, but it is evident that many providers don't have a clue or dismiss the severity of MC.

This board truly helps people find their new normal. The people here are so supportive and responsive. It is a wonderful example of a message board that does it right!

Kudos to all that contribute!

Yes, thank you Tex and everyone who has been there for all your help, support and caring. We all appreciate it. This was the first place I turned when the GI doc's office said..."it sounds like you have microscopic colitis".

Not sure what I would do without you folks!!
