Bone Broth
I have a question for those making bone broth. Do you put apple cider vinegar in your broth to draw the nutrients out of the bones? Or do you find ACV a problem food with MC?

i keep mine meat bones and salt only.
and freeze it that way.
that way if I am having a flare it is bland - it is guarenteed not to cause me issues
I put veges in, when i mix bone broth, minced meat to make stew.
if using veges, some of the veges like sweet potato can be sprayed with soy oil (to help them last longer in the supermarket)
I peel a good 2mm off things like sweet potato and use a thick cut peeler for carrots etc to protect from possible soy!
(and my co- resident chooks LOVE my veges scraps! actually the sheep like the carrot peelings and 1-2 of the older sheep will eat them from hands)

The recipe is quite simple. Put bones, oxtails and/or marrow bones in the pot. Cover with water, let it cook up to boiling point slowly. After this, you let it simmer (not cook, just so you can se some movement/small bubbles in the water) for at least 6 hours. I usually let it simmer for 12 hours.
I don't add anything to the bone broth. I freeze it in portions, and add herbs, salt & pepper and vegetables when I prepare a meal.
Some told me that the broth should be cooked alone, not together with vegetables, spice etc. to keep all the nutrition intact. Somehow vegetables could damage the aminoacids, gelatine etc. I don't know. ACV is Apple cider vinegar. Some people add ACV to the water to draw all the good stuff out of the bones.

For the early stages of MC healing I suggest meat bones only, salt, water and if you wish the Apple Cider Vinegar (double check it is gluten free)
later in your healing journey you can add in safe vegetables and safe herbs etc
To minimise histamine issues, i boil mine for 3 hours. To optimise mineral content, if you bake the bones on high temperature first, then boil.
bones with joints/knuckles provides the optimal gut healing bone broth.
if these are not readily available, any bones will still make great bone broth
later in your healing journey you can add in safe vegetables and safe herbs etc

Can you give me an easy to copy and paste "complete" recipe for chicken bone broth for my friend who is making it for herself and her husband? I've never made it before and I want to make sure they make it MC flare friendly (No ACV). They will be making a bland version for me.
Having a rough evening. Only ate crockpot turkey and six well steamed carrots for lunch 1pm and dinner and I ended up having terrible pain for IBS type cramping and nausea only eight crockpot turkey and six will steam carrots for lunch and dinner and I ended up having terrible pain for IBS type cramping and nausea as soon as I have an urgent call to bathroom. Largest bm amount in three weeks. Not diarrhea but broken up small pieces. Gas/belching. I don't know how much more this I can handle. Considering taking Budesdine this week if you think it'll help these god awful symptoms. I have to eat but digesting it is so difficult some days worse than others. No more food tonight.

I meant how long do you bake the bones for and I know from your other posts you say boil then low simmer or medium simmer for 2 to 3 hours? I don't have the exact details so I just want to be able to instruct her properly since she's never done this before and I don't want her to rely on the Internet.
