Probiotic Enema

Post by DJ »

Hello All,
It's been a long time. I am recovering from a severe car accident and I've been telling everyone how well my MC is doing. I tried adding back a few foods from a long list and it didn't work. I've taken a step back. As always, I want to regain my stability without Entocort but that doesn't happen. I never give up hope of finding a solution.

Like many MC'ers, I can't tolerate probiotics. Has anyone tried a probiotic enema with success?

Thanks.

sorry that you have been struggling with stability etc.

One of the reasons I think MC'ers don't tolerate probiotics so well is that they can increase histamine levels.
I suspect that once histamine levels are balanced then MC'ers do tolerate probiotics ok.

what a few of us have found is that fixing magnesium and B6 deficiencies fixes histamine issues.
I have resolved life long chronic allergies this way, and others have found huge improvement in their allergy issues as well.

regarding doing probiotics via enema - my thoughts are,
it would be similar to doing things like Faecal transplants - it has limited scope of success if what is coming down the digestion track is not 100% pure, and there are issues in the upper areas of digestion.
by the statement 'coming down the digestion track' relates to things like dental health - bacteria etc that can come from our mouths every time we eat or drink - this is more of an issue if you have any fillings / root canals / crowns etc.
bacteria /viral levels of food and drink we consume, contact with viruses etc, histamine levels from food and external sources etc etc etc.

so far as achieving stability - based on what we have seen by other members here - things like active B12, active B6 (called P5P) etc magnesium etc provide much better foundations for gut healing and stability
there are good products available
Thorne methyl guard (from iHerb and other online retailers) is very good active B product
if you think that histamine is an influence you can increase the active B6 intake but taking additional P5P via the Thorne P5P product

hope this helps
