Restarting ReMag

Post by HockeyMom »

I am doing much better folks. Best that we can figure is it was whatever gut thing was going around my hospital with either coworkers or a patient..who knows?? I have been well enough that I will be going back to work on Monday.

A question for the ReMag users here..have you stopped the ReMag due to a big flare and then restarted it successfully? I ask as I stopped the ReMag a couple weeks ago (and the oral Mag glycinate...) and have been using just topical mag oil. Well, this is really starting to irritate my skin in a huge way. I have been spraying it on my legs 2x/day, waiting 30 minutes then wiping it off. Have had to switch off where I was spraying it due to bad irritation, and now when I spray it on my thighs.....the burning for 30 minutes is pretty wicked and continues until I wash it off!!! I am also slathering my upper body/belly/arms 2x a day with progesterone cream, so I'm running out of surface to use!!

I need to restart the ReMag and/or the mag glycinate to avoid this skin thing. I started the ReMag initially in January and slowly worked my way up to 300mg/day and was taking 100mg/day of the oral mag glycinate. Did anyone have to start back at ground zero with the ReMag?? Or not?? Just use myself as a guinea pig and see how it goes?? I was just wondering....

An aside..the mag spray is Life Flo so it's got a dosage on it...have been doing 18 sprays 2x/day for 594mg/day. I also have their lotion but there isn't a dosage on that. I understand I can spray ReMag on myself but haven't done that as it seems like a whole lot to spray or rub on... I've seen other lotions on the internet that actually have dosages listed on them...

I just know that I need to keep up on this magnesium thing as I am pretty sure that was what happened to me at the beginning of the year!!

Laine,

I can't help you with the ReMag, but I just wanted to say that's great news that you're feeling better and will be able to go back to work next week.

Thanks Tex-
I guess I will just jump in and see what happens with the ReMag...and/or take 100mg tablet of the mag glycinate with lunch today with a little ReMag.
I am just so gun shy after what has been going on for the past few weeks    I mean, that was the worst I have ever been, and that was with just eating VERY, VERY basically....

I hope you are doing well recovery wise!! I think about you often. You have been a godsend to so many people Tex....

Hey Laine,

I'm so glad you are feeling better! I know how scary things can get. I've been using 600 mg of ReMag for over a year but have never stopped. What I would do is just start back slowly again (you shouldn't have to go as slow as before) and see how you do. Since you had been fine for awhile on it, my guess is you'll be good....and probably need some replenishing!
