Update on Me

Post by Momster »

Hi Everyone:

In answer your question Oma - I've been kind of hibernating since Christmas. 2005 was a pretty eventful year for me and I just seemed to need some quiet time to begin the new year.

I've been really tired and having a lot of pain, so just resting and trying to charge my battery back up. Just didn't seem to have any fight in me anymore, but I'm starting to come around a bit and went to see the Dr. to get some bloodwork and urinalysis to make sure nothing else than just being worn out is the cause of being so run down.

Hopefully the Dr. will get the bloodwork results back this week. i saw her on Friday and the urinalysis came back normal, but the hospital is having computer woes and didn't bet the blood test results back to her. She was pretty mad about that because it had been 6 days since I got the tests done and said that's not acceptable, so is going to get on their case tomorrow.

I haven't been doing much in the way of crafts except some simple knitting and crocheting projects, but have everything assembled to start beading a little owl and as soon as the mood strikes me, I'll get to it. I have to do some owls, hummingbirds and eagles for the local Indian Band tourist store. Their buyer saw my work at a Christmas craft fair and said they wanted some.

We are still puttering around with renovations in the house and John just finished putting ceramic tiles in the balance of the hallway, so the only place we have carpet now is the bedrooms. Much easier to care for. All he has to do now is put the trim on and it's finished. It's always something. My computer/craft room badly needs organizing. That will have to wait for awhile though. I need some more storage boxes - those plastic bins with pull out drawers work well and I got John to take the closet doors off and put a pretty curtain there and will use that for storage. One thing at a time though. Just have to start feeling more energetic first.

We have been counting calories since January 29 and I've lost 12 lb. and John has lost 10. My bowels are sure screwed up though. One day diarrhea and the next three constipated. It will take some time for my body to get accustomed to the change. Anyway, I'm eating much healthier and feeling good about that. Hopefully will be a lot lighter when I have my next knee surgery and that will speed the recovery time.

Anyway, that's about all that's going on with me right now.

I will be coming back more often now that things are settling down.

Gotta run - the Olympic Ice Dancing has started.

Love - Momster.

Will see the Dr. tomorrow

Post by Momster »

Hi All:

I got a call from the Dr.s office and I have to go to see her tomorrow. She got the blood test results back and has found something. Will let you all know what she says. I'm sure it's not serious and strongly suspect low blood sugar because we already ruled low blood pressure out, so the low blood sugar can produce the sypmtoms I'm feeling. Could be other things also, but I won't speculate until I talk to her. I'll let you know what she says when I get back tomorrow.

Love - Momster

Don't you just hate getting the calls to tell you to come in and discuss the results. It knocked me for a loop when I got mine. I do hope it is nothing serious and also hope that your energy returns real soon. Would love to see some pics of those beaded birds. You just might have another customer here.

Love, Maggie

Hi Momster,

I anxious to hear the news - hope it is something easily fixable. I replied to this post several days ago and it got lost in cyberspace.....I was too fristrated to rewrite it. But I am hoping that your pains improve (are they knee-related or generalized arthritis pains?).

Love,

Polly
