Cross Reactors to Gluten

So many truths here...I no longer look forward to eating. It's the same old, same old but I am grateful that my LC is under control. Like Kelly though, I wonder what other AI issues are in my future. I now have tinnitus and I'm trying to figure out if certain foods make it worse. One day at a time in the MC world.

the study you posted link to is the 'basis' for the articles that I provided the links for.
I will be setting up a post in our guidelines to recovery area and including this study and info, for those that when Gluten Free, Dairy Free eating plan does not resolve symptoms, they may be affected by these cross reactors.
as Marcia mentions, it is hard to be motivated by eating when we have so many troublesome ingredients.
from my personal experience, since stopping the sweet potato (5 days now) there has been some slight improvement.

time for the update - it worked!
my first 3 week break from eggs and sweet potato to 'reset' my bodies reaction to them didnt work as 2 weeks in, i ate small amt of egg and sweet potato. (lost my focus due to intense week of housesitting and attending funeral etc)
Started the 3 week process again, no egg, no sweet potato, (this also includes and no dairy, no soy) to optimise the process and ensure there was no risk of gluten or gluten like items, avoided processed flours/grains totally so it was just meat and veges for the 3 weeks
had my appointment last week and it cleared, i can safely eat eggs and sweet potato again!
in addition to this, with the combo of fixing nutritional deficiencies, reducing toxin load in my body etc I started a ketosis process. This is my third attempt in 5 years to get into ketosis, well I have found the sweet spot that works for me of fat burning healthy eating. over the last 5 months i have dropped 15kg (33 pounds) with minimal exercise. Being winter here in Aus, (which my body loves way way more than our humid summers) i have been more active around the farm spending more time outside, i do aerobic activity 1 or 2 days a week.
my thought is, whether you are underweight or overweight, improvements with either of these will come when the body is 'in balance', doesnt have to be perfect, I still have more healing to do, more toxins to clear etc and most of all, not overthinking it.
Aside from my fabbo chiro/kinesiology practitioners that have been amazing at fixing my biochemical imbalances (which has been an 18 month journey), eating plan wise and lifestyle adjustments have mostly come from listening to the Dave Asprey Bulletproof podcasts. I am listening to his audiobook 'headstrong' which is all about energy and mitochondria and feeding the brain the right nutrients to optimise its function.
from a MC point of view, if you are having reactions even while you are on the limited eating plan then look at the list of items in the first post. for any of those food items that you are having regularly, try avoiding them for 3 weeks in a rotation process ( i was lucky we used kinesology muscle testing to confirm which ones on the list were my cross reactors)
this is also some good proof that we can 'reset' the immune system to an extent

That's incredible Gabes!!
I'm so happy for you :-)
When you say avoid them for 3 weeks in a rotation process.....does that mean every 4-5 days or none at all for 3 weeks then rotate....but what is a safe rotation of days?

the cross reacting ingredients have to be avoided for at least 3 weeks.
it could be, 1 or 2 or 3 or more of the items on that list..
we used kinesiology muscle testing to determine which of the ingredients were my cross reactors (eggs and sweet potato)
if you dont have access to this then you would have to do an elimination diet type protocol where you avoid 1-2 of them at a time for a full 3 weeks and see if there is improvement
(quite alot of accupuncture practitioners use muscle testing. )
the main reason for me doing it was not for digestion but to calm the immune system to resolve the Lichen sclerosis.
