This may sound funny.......I find massaging my abdomen helps with pain or discomfort in my gut that occurs after BMs and sometimes after eating. The funny part is that my favourite 'massage' is hooping! Yes, hula hooping! I loved it as a kid and now in my 60s I love it again. I made my own hoop from flexible PVC tubing weighted with sand, decorated it with tape, and use it every day.
Doing yoga helps too with many positions helping the intestines. I do yoga after hooping. Next I'm going to try Tai Chi.
