That may be why you can't get back into remission. We have to go back to a bland, easy-to-digest recovery diet in order to methodically get out of a flare. We have to go back to "square one" and literally start over in most cases.
This was my experience last summer. I got into a flare. I kept eating the same things I had been pre flare for 4 months and could not figure out why I was not going into remission....still WD.

I went down to the few foods regimen and mostly protein and voila within 2-3 days WD was gone.

I had to stay on the few foods regimen for awhile.

Lando, have you tried the antihistamines? Sometimes that will kick me out of a flare but they did not do anything for me during last summer's situation.

Lando
what about the other items I mentioned in my reply? shampoo, bathroom products, etc

and in line with Brandy's reply above about anti-histamines, if you are reacting to external sources like pollen, mold etc this will make food reactions bigger.

I can't have Bananas. Maybe you should take those out. Potatoes may work ( roasted with olive oil) ... but I have to say, you are really good to be able to eat just turkey and rice every meal. When I "cut back", I change around my proteins with every meal. Yes, I eat rice, but I try not to over do it. Some very cooked green beans has always worked for me too. Can you use almond milk? Chex cereal with almond milk has also been good to me.

Good luck

Rice was a huge problem for me when I had active MC. I would try a new grain, like quinoa or millet. I react to rice. White potatoes might be better, if you aren't allergic to them.

I think I know what it is. After examining my diet. I will let everyone know, when I know for sure. But it was just a small amount it built over time, and eventually made me flare.

Well, I am improving day by day. On the road to recovery. Pretty sure I know what it was, it was the creamer I was putting in my coffee. Didn't look like any ingredients had gluten but it did. So, since I was putting only a tablespoon a day it needed time to build up to really flare. A small amount doesn't give me a immediate reaction.

Thought I would update. I am healing well. Been eating the same thing for 28 days(ground turkey and rice). I have had a couple not so good days over the month, nothing like that was happening before, but I was and am still healing.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
