LDN
Has anyone used LDN therapy? If yes, was it helpful? Is it better than using entrecort?
The magnesium topical spray-how much are you supposed to use? How often? Could using this cause more D?
Has anyone used psyllium husks at night to help with D? Any success?
I am so frustrated because I am on 6-7 Imodium/day and I take 1-2 entrecort a week and am unable to get off the entrecort. if I do stop the entrecort my stomach gets weak.
Thank you.

HI Erica
I have tagged some LDN users on FB to hopefully come and reply about LDN
magnesium - topical use WILL NOT cause D (that is why we encourage its use.) how much to use, the aim is to get at least 400mg elemental magnesium per day, (if you can do up to 600mg that would be great) the bottle will say how many ml or how many sprays etc = how much elemental magnesium. regards to how often, spread it out so you get the 400mg-600mg applied each day.
Psyllium husks - although recommended for IBD's I have not seen any MC'ers benefit from it. Some members have had success with Slippery Elm powder - finely ground (not as capsule as fine powder on food)
are you taking Vit D3?? medications like entocort have limited scope of success if you are deficient in Vit D3
also - what is your eating and drinking plan?? are you following the suggested eating plan??

Hi Erica,
I'm taking LDN for my Sjogrens Syndrome, not MC. Diagnosed with MC 2010-11, had Enterolab tests, began a Paleo diet and budesinide (Entocort). I took 3 mg of budesinide, more caused constipation. It stopped the diarrhea from day one. For several reasons, I stayed on budesinide for 2 years, weaning off the last 3-4 months and have been in remission since then. LDN wasn't on the radar back then. I don't think LDN would hurt you, I just don't know if it will help. There are a few with MC who swear by LDN. Hopefully, they will be able to help you.

Low Dose Naltrexone.
there are some posts about it in the main message board or that can be found via doing a search.
some people here, namely those with multiple AI issues, have had some good success with using LDN.
others have not.
It is not generally prescribed by mainstream medical doctors. it is functional doctors and practitioners that prescribe it and you obtain the script from a compounding pharmacy.

LDN + Wobenzym N put me in remission
Hi, I wanted post and let folks know that using LDN (2.5 mg) and Wobenzym N (4 tabs 3x a day) put me in remission from MC. I have not tried any steroids since I imagined the side effects would be really bad for me. I was diagnosed with MC a year ago (January 2019). I had been taking Wobenzym N (systemic enzymes) previously and it did help with inflammation of my joints - but alone it wasn't strong enough to put my MC in remission. I wasn't able to go any higher than 2.5 mg on the LDN without have side effects (brain fog, depression, fatigue). I finally combined the two and I've been in remission for about 2 months now! Normans every morning! Some background on me: I also have Hashimoto's and Celiac and a history of SIBO-D. I did not have any luck with identifying dietary triggers (I have been GF since being diagnosed with Celiac 5 years ago).
Recently I've also had great success with L. Plantarum for my gut dysbiosis from all the antibiotics to get rid of the SIBO. I am much more comfortable, less bloated and gassy! I hope this is helpful. Kindest regards, cherrytomatopie.
