you may not want to hear this but the few leaves of spring mix are also high fibre and would be irritating to your inflamed gut.
Please consider embracing our recommended eating plan, (well cooked protein and 1-3 veges) even though you are not having major symptoms, it may be slowing or hindering your healing process.

I've noticed that cantelope doesn't sit with me even to this day...I thought melons were my friend in the long run, but even too many tastes of water melon will be too much sugar for my system. I am able to peel half an apple once in a while and eat it before a meal now, where I couldn't even touch fruit during my first year of healing. I don't drink fruit juice anymore because that it too much of a sugar rush on my system...lots of ways I used to do things have changed quite a bit these last two years.

OK, I'll take it easy for a while and stop tempting fate. I just have such a strong desire to feel "normal" and eat normal that I am trying to keep some things the same, like my light, healthy lunch. I guess "healthy" is a relative term when you have this disease.
What's the verdict on banana chips? Too much sugar?

Diagnosed November 2004, Used Asacol and Lialda, sometimes worked, sometimes made it worse. Entocort always works but hate it. Remission only lasts 3-6 months and then back on Entocort. Enterolab test July 2017, now gluten free. Time will tell!

I've never tried them, but I would think that banana chips would be fine for someone who doesn't have a histamine issue (as long as you don't overdo them). Natural sugar (as found in fruit) is generally much healthier than added sugar. It can still be a problem for someone who has MC if too much is eaten, but it's somewhat less likely to cause problems than added sugar.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
