Stomach Pain, Nausea, Sour Stomach

Post by skp »

I recently took a successful eight day road trip. No problems. Returned eight days ago and Normals continued. Five days ago I ate pretty spicy food. I know, dumb! That's when my problems started, I think.

I've had GERD before usually treated pretty well with Famitidine. But I never had the stomach discomfort to this extent nor the nausea. I've had the watery/yucky feeling in my mouth which I certainly do have now.

The nausea comes and goes. I've never vomited. The stomach pain also comes and goes.

Yesterday I bought betaine HCL with pepsin. I took one before dinner, a heavy meat meal. Today I did the same before drinking bone broth and eating a little ham. Shortly thereafter, I had WD.

I will take no more betaine HCL.

My appetite is low but the thought of eating meat is very unappealing.

In mid May, my magnesium level was 5.2/mg/dL and since I have upped my magnesium to 700 mg/day orally and topically. My Vitamin D level was fine at 71.1. All other labs were fine.

Fatigue is back big-time, which also comes and goes, but that is not the issue I am most bothered by right now.

I'd sure appreciate any advice.

Thanks,
Susan

Gabes,
It was at a restaurant and while I truly believe it did not contain my triggers, it was spicier than I anticipated. Of course, I could have not eaten it but some spice has not bothered me so I went ahead. And, of course, I am not 100% sure that that was the cause. Today I am a little better although it is still morning, my time.
