only YOU will understand.....
Today was the day!! After 8 months of persistence and diligence, Norman arrived!! It is amazing how exciting a BM can be and I know only my fellow MCers will understand that statement! All of the knowledge and wisdom available on this board is totally priceless and I am so very thankful to have found it. So THANK YOU all!!!

Congratulations, Deb! You're so right how exciting it is to have your first "normal" BM after such a long time. Wishing you many, many more!

Thank you girls. It is so nice to share news that is so exciting for us but no one else can relate. My husband is supportive
and my bestie tries to understand but no one understands like the Potty People!! During all this I have lost a considerable
amount of weight - which has been a good thing. But when I do venture out and see an acquaintance that I haven't seen for
awhile, they are surprised of course and want to know what's going on. Besides being tired of talking about the medical facts
that no one "gets" I have shortened my answer to " I have been dealing with a health issue but am feeling much better now" and try to divert the conversation to other topics. But the important part is that I am feeling better. The road ahead will be unpredictable,
but I now have the tools to deal with whatever comes my way. Progress not perfection as Gabes says.
Good night all.

Deb, so happy to hear your good news! I understand the part of running into people who you haven't seen in awhile and the weight loss is notable. I too lost much needed weight (and ok with that part) but always have to come up with an explanation. I have settled on "I've been sick and am doing okay now". Most people don't try to draw out the details. Some do and then are sorry they asked because I tell them!
