Happy Birthday Camryn!

:manynanas: :birthdaycakecandles: :manynanas:

Camryn was our youngest member when her mother joined on her behalf. She was only two and a half years of age when she was diagnosed with LC. She responded well to the changes that her mother made in her diet and after a few months she was in remission. Today she is ten years old.

Camryn, if you are reading this I hope that your life is filled with health and happiness as a result of the wise choices your mother made to provide you with the best of care seven and a half years ago. She chose to disregarded your doctors' advice and spared you from having to take Entocort when all that was needed were a few diet changes. That was a difficult decision for her to make and I'm sure you are very proud of her.

If anyone wants to review her story, you can read about her recovery in the thread at the following link:

My 2 Year Old was just diagnosed with LC :(

Thank you - I am just seeing this now. She is now 11 and doing very well. She still gets "glutened" every once in a while, but is so good about eating the right things. She has a new baby brother (he actually turns 1 this week) and he has a milk protein allergy so far. Her six year old sister still has a milk and soy intolerance, while our 10 year old has no allergies/intolerances.

Hope you are doing well Tex!

Hi Laura,

It's great to see an update from you. I've been wondering if the diet was still working for Camrym. Sorry to hear that Camryn's baby brother and her six year-old sister have digestive issues, but it sounds as though the 10 year-old lucked out. We're finding that food intolerances seem to be somewhat common in some families.

As for my health, I had a stroke a little over 4 months ago that slowed me down a bit, but other than that, I'm doing OK, Thanks. I've recovered pretty well. I was lucky — it could have been a lot worse.

Thank you for the update.
